Dreams visions from GOD, how do you know that ?

Thank you for the post and question. One way to test others’ dreams is to ask, “Are they consistent with Love Your Neighbor?” One might also ask, “Are these dreams self-serving?” Blessings.

    Ask yourself this

Thank you for post. Here is Ruth speaking to Naomi: Ruth 1:16 But Ruth replied, “. . . Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. “ Peace.

    King Saul’s Water Jug

Who doesn’t need a swallow of water in the morning, or even during the night? Liquids were measures in “baths, hins, and logs,” with a “bath” estimated today at ~22 liters, 6 hins to the bath, and 12 logs to the hin. (Sounds Babylonian!)

    Prayer for Robin!

Thank you for reaching out. May God comfort, strengthen, sustain, and guide your friend Robin. Let Robin know she is loved. May God give you wisdom and discernment for the best path forward. May He inspire you to be especially creative if need be. In His Holy Name We Pray, Amen.

    Need Deliverance

Thank you for reaching out. God understands and allows for stuttering: He knows the thoughts behind the prayers. Reading the Psalms, in your head or out loud, is comforting. Perhaps putting “pen to paper,” writing a prayer could be an alternative, giving you time to reflect. Blessings to you.

Is the Message From God, or Is It Just Man Making Noise?

Thank you for the post. Now, can you apply the criteria to some examples, such as messages from liberal pastors? Sometimes we might hear false doctrine (Arianism) rather than self-serving expositions. Blessings.

    God's hand on creation?

Thank you for the post. The general principle is “too much of a good thing can be bad for you.” Proverbs 25 16 If you find honey, eat just enough— too much of it, and you will vomit. 17 Seldom set foot in your neighbor’s house— too much of you, and they will hate you. Re your 3rd and...

The Law (Moses Law) is : NOT Made for Christians... #2

Thank you for the detailed reply. The parable of the Good Samaritan is one example of love in action: sharing and caring for a neighbor. (See also, Matthew 25: 34-36.) Being gentle and peaceful is another. And if I love God, I will cheerfully love my neighbors. Without love in action, my...

The Law (Moses Law) is : NOT Made for Christians... #2

Thank you for posting. Although this is mainstream Evangelism, it stops short of describing the behavioral characteristics Jesus expects of us. Consider, for example, Commandments 6 - 10: the Do Nots. The essence of these Commandments is ”do not intentionally harm your neighbor” (in fact...

Did you know "the Bible is an organizational book"?

Thanks for the detailed reply. Yes, there are members of this forum with whom there is little point in conversing, but that doesn’t mean if we were working on the same project we couldn’t find common ground (although it might not be easy). As to the JW’s, they don’t seem to be the only group...

    King Saul’s Water Jug

In 1 Samuel 26, King Saul pursued David, intending to kill him. Then, while Saul and his army were sleeping nearby, David crept up, right beside Saul, but refused to kill him, and instead took his spear and water jug. (1 Samuel 26:7-12) It is curious that these two objects of Saul’s were...

Did you know "the Bible is an organizational book"?

Thanks for the post. Why not look instead for those beliefs we have in common and ways we can work together in the world? As for “blasphemy,” Romans 14 asks us to be gentle with others: 1. Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters. 5 One person considers...

Science is bringing us closer than ever to proving God is real

Thanks! Yes, there should not be a conflict between the two, but when atheists teach science—biology, paleontology, etc.—they (perhaps deliberately) cast aspersions on Christianity in particular. On the other hand, Bible literalists often add confusion. Peace.

    New Forum Member.

Thank you. Is this statement accurate? Classical dispensationalism sees a biblical distinction between Israel and the church; mid-Acts dispensationalism moves the dividing line to Acts 9. Before that time, what we might call the “church” was still a Jewish congregation under the law and...
