What does God say? "I create darkness...and evil." This is not the topic of discussion however. In speaking God pouring out his spirit upon all flesh--which he spoke of separate of those he called, saying the one "and" the other--"all" means "all." "And" then, is simply an indication that there...

No...you tied "all flesh" to "those whom the Lord calls", as if "all flesh" was only among "those called." Which is not what the "and" does. The "and" speaks of "all" "and" "those called" as being separate but dealt with the same--not "all" as being limited to "those called."

Let me also say: I support you in your standing against such, and will join in or also stand alone when needed to say the same when confronted.

You have not accounted for "and" in Joel 2:32. As for your other points, Jesus explained, saying, "many are called but few are chosen." None of which changes the meaning of "all (flesh)." But you are also not accounting for there being evil (supernatural) spirits that are a part of "All things...

I didn't say the church is finished. You should pay more attention. I was speaking of the "finish" that was foretold to come--which you as much as deny, speaking against the Spirit revealing "all truth" the way he was appointed to by Christ.

Heard that from you many times. True, many need to hear it. I've heard it enough.

"THE WORDS...ARE SPIRIT" version of understanding scripture.

Indeed, there are many who are guilty of all that, but that does not mean that some are not true. In fact the scriptures--God--declares it. Meanwhile, I understand your sentiments, but you make it sound like everyone who makes claims are all the same, all liars. That is not a good...

"THE WORDS...ARE SPIRIT" version of understanding scripture.

I'm cutting in. That is such an anti-Christ statement--you need to be called out on it! Jesus--the Word himself--spoke in parables explaining that the deeper spiritual meaning was not even to be known by everyone, just those he chose to reveal the meaning to...which he didn't even do for them...

What does loving your neighbor look like in today's world?

It's easy to hate, and even easier to hate a scoundrel whether beneath or above us. But we too were once scoundrels of our own sort, sinners. But God left a narrow way for us to escape, and we ought to do likewise for our neighbor--by any definition. What would that look like in today's world...

This isn't about me. Not my understanding, not my interpretation, not my opinion, not my feelings. What do you think I have been trying to tell you all this time? What do the scriptures say? --They say...that from the time of Christ, specifically, that in the midst of God's spirit being poured...

God's word not returning void, unfortunately for most right now does not fall on their side, but on mine. Which, yes, I am well aware that you have not been looking it from that perspective. So my being hopeful that you meant what you said as assurance for me, was a lifeline, one you did not...

If that was meant to as assurance to me--thank you. But it doesn't account for the response that God's own people often have or why it continues when the pattern is written and to be learned from as a warning.

The reason things are discombobulated is an age old issue, the crux of the problem that we have also been experiencing here. Which many here have also experienced. So, I think it would be good if I at least offer a closing comment or summary. The problem is one of communication, and it exists...

THAT DAY AND HOUR NO ONE KNOWS.

What you are trusting is your interpretation of the word of God. Wherein the word of God, there are many word pictures, parables, and images, that explain many things. As it is said, A picture is worth a thousand words. But, again, you apparently are not fully understanding those images, and...

THAT DAY AND HOUR NO ONE KNOWS.

Ron, your sense of timing is askew, the thinking of men, men of this world. Your track record would suggest that you will just keep rejecting any other explanation...but...if you can take a breath, count to ten, and try to understand: God's timing is different. I'm trying to explain that so...

And yet the truth is only different because it is correct and not to be taken any other way. Sorry if that makes everything look like a minefield or a needle in a haystack...but God did that on purpose. We know of many failures to navigating it all, but knowing the difference is like...

Yes, and you should get use to that way of thinking, because just as "all in Adam" have unfolded into all of us ever born, things are also "conflated" back "all in Christ."

Well, it is good that you have elaborated. But you are still thinking as men think, which is to say, by the terms of this world rather than those of the kingdom of God. Certainly, there is a perspective within this world that we must contend with and suffer through, but He does not say to endure...

I have concisely connected the dots--all in one sentence...and you chuckle saying I have said a lot of nothing. The psychology of that is sooo telling. It would seem you don't even realize it. :pensive:
