    THE GOSPEL

He is talking to his congregation, Doug. Some are saved, but some aren't, but they are all in his congregation, including himself and are individuals. Using personal pronouns is one of the Semitic writing styles of Jews. Throughout 1 John he is asking everyone to test themselves. For instance...

    THE GOSPEL

We are talking about individuals in 1 John. Not Revelation. But Daniel 9 does give you a great big hint!

    THE GOSPEL

Good grief, try again... Hint, it is not talking about national Israel. Gentiles were being saved too if you recall. What about sin did even Old Testament Jews and Catholics know that Protestants don't? And Jesus wrote about the Reformation and said, "you have a name that you are alive but you...

    THE GOSPEL

That's what I mean. You don't know. And neither do many Protestant denominations. Pathetic! It's not your fault if you rely on sermons to teach you the Bible. It's the fault of some church fathers of the Reformation that did not bring forward the truth about sin from the past. Instead, they...

    THE GOSPEL

To become a Christian Jesus cleanses us from our past sins. But what type of sin of the two is Jesus cleansing us from IF we are walking in the Spirit? Do you know? It is an interesting topic that God's people knew since 3,500 years ago, but was lost 500 years ago causing doctrines of death.

    THE GOSPEL

How? The gospel is the truth that sets us free. It is not about our punishment, but about our SIN.

    THE GOSPEL

I agree about Romans 3. But 2 Peter 1:9 shows it is about us too.

    THE GOSPEL

It was much more than paying the full penalty for our sin. What about the sin in us. What about the ability to sin. Did Jesus do anything about those? 1 John 3:4-5 tells us. Most churches teach that the blood of Jesus just covers our sin out of the Father's sight, but we still commit them...

DOES THIS VERSE CONTRADICT PAUL SAYING A WOMEN CAN'T SPEAK IN THE CHURCH?

and @Roland Nolette Did you know that women cannot divorce men, but men can divorce women if she is unfaithful? A woman, no matter what, cannot marry another until her husband is dead. I thought you two being men would enjoy this law.

DOES THIS VERSE CONTRADICT PAUL SAYING A WOMEN CAN'T SPEAK IN THE CHURCH?

I think I heard that all modern translations use the Westcott and Hort translation of the corrupted codices from Alexandria who didn't believe in all truth about Jesus and His deity. Westcott and Hort were not only believers in Darwin's evolution theory but were also spiritualists - that's...

DOES THIS VERSE CONTRADICT PAUL SAYING A WOMEN CAN'T SPEAK IN THE CHURCH?

I've been told this view before (many times on the forums). And I did ask God why in 2000 did He speak to me and say, "I'm giving you the office of Teacher" and the anointing if what Paul said to Timothy was true. He answered me. Explain.

    My personal eclectic view

We still can't forsake the assembling of ourselves together though. That is what some did in the first century because they were not under the Law, so forsook the Sabbath, and even the first day because it wasn't "law" either. I like to get to know people so visit the same churches often...

DOES THIS VERSE CONTRADICT PAUL SAYING A WOMEN CAN'T SPEAK IN THE CHURCH?

Finally, a humble man of good sense! Women in those days were not allowed to study Torah; only men. Most women didn't even know how to read which went on for hundreds of years! And in the synagogue like the Amish, women sat in the back or on one side together, and the men all sat together apart...

    My personal eclectic view

I've always WANTED the truth. That is why I've been in three different denominations, and found I needed to finally shed them all and just be in a continuous questions and answer session with Jesus. What you said is probably why some are in the same denomination their entire lives!

Cute, LOL! But I have a unique situation. God actually spoke to me in June of 2000 in the Arizona desert and said, "I am giving you the office of Teacher." That wasn't my choice, but His. I'm not one of those self-appointed teachers or pastors full of self-deception... Not everyone always has...

    My personal eclectic view

I have found that when I have a question it is God who put it there. I've then prayed that question to God, and immediately He gives me the answer. The gospel is revealed from faith to faith. It is not all at once, but He does tell us to study to make ourselves approved. Remember the Holy Spirit...

That is sad. The Holy Spirit is all I need to understand end times. Or maybe you don't believe the Spirit is enough, or ended speaking after Darby came along. That is like having to study Darwin before I can knowledgeably discuss Creation.
