JESUS Has The Power To Raise You Up = II Corinthians 4;14

Forgiveness for sins is only possible through the sacrifice of Jesus, and the person involved has to show sincere repentance for it in order to obtain it. The words of John 20:22 were addressed exclusively to the apostles of Jesus, and referred to that after their anointing (which would occur...

    Apokatastasis in the early church

Jesus' "preaching" to the fallen angels followed his resurrection. The message was about his victory in dying faithfully, providing the means of salvation to humans, and gaining his right to kingship. 1 Tim. 3:16 Indeed, the sacred secret of this godly devotion is admittedly great: ‘He was made...

    Can we lose our salvation?

A man asked Jesus if those who would be saved would be few. Jesus' response is key to understanding that salvation requires effort: Luke 13:23 Now a man said to him: “Lord, are those being saved few?” He said to them: 24 “Exert yourselves vigorously to get in through the narrow door, because...

    Was Noah's flood global?

The Hebrew word for land is ʼEʹrets. That same word is also used in the Bible to refer to: (1) earth, as opposed to heaven, or sky (Ge 1:2); (2) land, country, territory (Ge 10:10); (3) ground, surface of the ground (Ge 1:26); But the same word can be used in the Bible to refer to: (4)...

    Was Noah's flood global?

The reason to believe that the Deluge occurred over the whole planet is this: the Bible says it. Gen. 7:23 So He wiped every living thing from the surface of the earth, including man, animals, creeping animals, and the flying creatures of the sky. They were all wiped off the earth; only Noah...

Who are the “other sheep” of John 10:16? (For Jehovah's Witnesses)

The heavenly kings and priests, after going with Jesus to heavens, will not return to live on earth but will be with him in the heavenly realms forever: 1 Thess. 4:17 Afterward we the living who are surviving will, together with them, be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and...

Who are the “other sheep” of John 10:16? (For Jehovah's Witnesses)

Compare: Luke 12:32 “Have no fear, little flock, for your Father has approved of giving you the Kingdom. ... 22:“However, you are the ones who have stuck with me in my trials; 29 and I make a covenant with you, just as my Father has made a covenant with me, for a kingdom, 30 so that you may eat...

God is not a respecter of persons (nature of worship.)

Thanks. My belief is what you read out of the Bible ... I quoted the passages and logical reasoning. The Scriptures contain the truth (John 17:17; 2 Tim. 3:16,17), and that is why I believe what I quoted. Otherwise I would not. Biblical teachings are not optional ... They are just THE TRUTH. ;)...

God is not a respecter of persons (nature of worship.)

Yes, Jehovah is humble: Psal. 113:6-8 “He stoops down to look on heaven and earth, raising the lowly from the dust. He lifts up the poor . . . to make him sit with nobles.” He accepts our worship but he also views us as his friends, and he took the iniciative giving his Son in the first place...

    Acts 21:4

Through the holy spirit, the prophets knew that Paul would suffer in Jerusalem (Acts 21:10-14), but the fear of the disciples and asking Paul not to go there was a personal matter, because knowing what would happen they thought that Paul should avoid it. Something similar happened with Peter...

God is not a respecter of persons (nature of worship.)

When the Bible says that God does not "respect" people, what it is saying is that he does not make distinctions between faces, because he sees things more important than that...for example, the heart, thoughts, intentions, etc. These things do not depend on the physique of the people or the...

Modern Scholars Spreading Doubts About the Bible's Reliability: Moses and the Pentateuch

Definitely, our best defense of the existence of Moses and his authorship (human part) of the Pentateuch and other biblical writings such as some Psalms, is the fact that Jesus took his existence for granted, as @Arthur81 very well explains in the post#2. However, deniers of biblical...

Modern Scholars Spreading Doubts About the Bible's Reliability: Moses and the Pentateuch

Since the beginning of the 19th Century there has been a tendency in intellectual circles around the world to deny the inspiration of the Bible and what is known about human history based on the information it contains. For example, the real existence of Moses and his involving in the writing...

    A Question for Jehovah's Witnesses

The word προσκυνέω does not even mean WORSHIP as someone "worships" a god. Jesus used that word here: Rev. 3:9 Look! I will make those from the synagogue of Satan who say they are Jews yet are not, but are lying—look! I will make them come and bow before your feet and make them know that I have...

    A Question for Jehovah's Witnesses

You can't make up meanings for words from other languages to make them fit you. Jesus was the means through which his Father created all things. Because he was the Only Begotten and Firstborn Son, he was there with his Father, cooperating with the creation of which his Father was the direct...

    A Question for Jehovah's Witnesses

I'll give you some input about what διᾰ́ means in Greek. That preposition is the one some versionists translate as "by" when the Scriptures say that the Universe was created through Jesus: διᾰ́ IE *dis-; cf. Lat. dis-, AS te-, Alb. tsh- I A adv. or prevb. through, from one side to the other B...

    A Question for Jehovah's Witnesses

 No inspired writer of the Holy Writings said ever that everything was created "by Jesus".

Why hadn't the baptized believers in Samaria received the Holy Spirit?

That is false. James 2:19 You believe that there is one God, do you? You are doing quite well. And yet the demons believe and shudder.

    Re Spirit baptism

Ask yourself: Were Jesus' apostles anointed with holy spirit as they accompanied Jesus everywhere? If your answer is NO, then how can you think that anyone who say so today is really annointed with the Holy Spirit of God? Some people today think they are superior than the apostles of Jesus.
