    Fear God or Presume acceptance

Grace is not a thing one possesses, it is God's favor. It is not a "thing" in itself, but the means by which that favor is extended to man. It is grace to offer salvation, it is grace that allows us the ability to believe and repent. No one "has" the grace of God.

    What Need I of Grace?

It was Saul that struggled and found salvation in Jesus Christ. Then after he changed his name to Paul he moved on to Romans 8. Those that make this Paul's internal struggle as a Christian still fail to ever move on to Chapter 8. Why is that?

    The Impotent Church

In the Roman Catholic Church it has been the increasing emphasis on Mary as Co-Redeemer, and in Protestant Churches more emphasis on "feelings" and neutering the Hymnbook. Modern Western Culture is trending to the "soy boy" the "pajama boy" that they used to promote Obamacare. The attitude that...

    Fear God or Presume acceptance

I do not see God failing; I see man failing. 'Keep yourselves in the love of God." (Jude 21). "For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living...

Because Perfect Love does not sin!

    What Need I of Grace?

1 Jn. 1:8 has nothing to do with Christians; you know, Christians he just said (v.7) were cleansed from ALL sin! ( And immediately after that said he tells the non-Christians that if they confessed their sins they would not only be forgiven of those sins, but to be cleansed from ALL...

    The Impotent Church

People call the building the "Church"... whether there has ever been a genuine believer that entered that building. I think that many out of convenience shortened "Church Building" to just "Church." I can see people envisioning a building where "the Church" meets, and calling it the "Church...

    The Impotent Church

It is a matter of accepted English to call the assembly of Believers or the building, the "Church." You are correct that according to the Bible, the "Church" is the corporate Body of believers. We ARE the Church, we really do no go TO Church. Yet we have "the Church at _______" in the Bible.

    What Need I of Grace?

Jesus said, "Be ye perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect." If anyone thinks that they are exempt from what Jesus says, they are in danger. "And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him...

    What Need I of Grace?

At 1:45 and on, it states what I have seen. 1). The publisher wants to produce a product that appeals to the consumer. They make money by producing what sells. 2). The consumer wants something that confirms their expectations and biases. 3). If the consumer does not think that the Bible or...

    What Need I of Grace?

The same logical fallacy and red herring keeps on coming forth when you do not know how to reconcile Scripture with your personal practice! People have produced vast amounts of Scripture that mean something; yet the response to these Biblical Facts is either silence, "Looking it square in the...

If you want to shock your Grandchildren, just tell them that you are older than the internet! :) I am older than Cable TV, and even remember being shocked when I found out that my favorite cartoons were in Color! (And that the Color Television was broken when the Commercials were in Black and...

    What Need I of Grace?

There are a lot of amateur pharmacists in this world that would agree! Yet, limited knowledge has led to a lot of dangerous drugs out there! The same can be said of knowing just enough Greek or Hebrew to be dangerous! :) The study of Linguistics is not an exact science, nor has anyone ever...

    The Impotent Church

A couple of things about the issue of the Bible being masculine, and not Feminine as we have it today, is not that the Bible is devoid of the Feminine; that is not what I am saying. In what way is the Church, the Bride of Christ- Feminine? The Bride is the image of the chaste virgin~ purity...

    Fear God or Presume acceptance

No passage says "When we sin we have an Advocate" 1 Jn 2:1 says, "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:" The Bible says... "I write these things ... that you SIN NOT! And... "IF...

    Fear God or Presume acceptance

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." God does not say to the Christian "You can't do it!" All Scripture assumes that you are not "still sinners" but reflect the Character of Christ in righteousness, a holy people. No passage in all...

    Fear God or Presume acceptance

In 1 Jn. 1:6 it says, "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." Cleansing is the removal of sin. The emphasis on "presently" is that the condition of [present tense] cleansing is if...

    Fear God or Presume acceptance

Being presently cleansed from sin is son-ship; not being presently cleansed from sin is not son-ship. I do not agree that God is somehow bound to anthropomorphisms that we seek around us. When the Prodigal Son left and sinned away his inheritance, he was a "son" but on his return his father...

    Fear God or Presume acceptance

Certainly the third option exists. When Jesus says "I never knew them" I think that can apply two ways. First would be the person that is working their way to heaven by their own merit, but has not true faith in Jesus, and the person who claims faith in Christ, but has not been Born-Again or...

    Fear God or Presume acceptance

Hosea 4:6 "my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. "Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children." Proverbs 1:7 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise...
