    Beware the Leaven

Jesus is here using leaven as a symbol of corruption. He is warning the disciples to be on guard against “the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees,” which has a corrupting effect. Matthew 16:12 Jesus Christ gave the interpretation as to the symbolic significance of ferment, or leaven, as...

    True Trinity.

Jehovah” (Heb., יהוה, YHWH), God’s personal name, first occurs in Genesis 2:4.The divine name is a verb, the causative form, the imperfect state, of the Hebrew verb הוה (ha·wahʹ, “to become”). Therefore, the divine name means “He Causes to Become.” This reveals Jehovah as the One who, with...

    True Trinity.

Justbyfaith said: Deuteronomy 6:4- Hear, O Israel, The LORD our God is one LORD. Mark 12:29- And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord.[/Quote\] Deuteronomy 6:4 was originally written in ancient Hebrew and the word, "Lord" isn't...

Could this be a prelude to prophesy?

It's my thinking that we JW believe the truth of the scriptures. Take you for example, you say simply because the word, "symbolic" isn't in scriptures like Isaiah 57:20 and Revelations 17:1,15 that these scriptures aren't viewing waters and seas as people even though these scriptures are showing...

Could this be a prelude to prophesy?

Those scriptures in Isaiah 57:20; Revelations 17:1, 15 show that those scriptures are using the word sea and waters in a symbolic way. The fact that the word "symbolic" isn't in those scriptures don't change that.

Could this be a prelude to prophesy?

I find it very interesting that what I said concerning Isaiah and revelation you ignored. Isaiah likened the wicked people of earth, the masses alienated from God, to “the sea that is being tossed, when it is unable to calm down, the waters of which keep tossing up seaweed and mire.” (Isaiah...

Could this be a prelude to prophesy?

I said I don't have to agree with how others view the mention of seas, rivers and streams. If they wish to view the seas, rivers and streams as being literal and that these seas, rivers and streams are literally bloody that's their right. I don't have to agree with that view just because others...

Could this be a prelude to prophesy?

How you and others choose to believe concerning the mention of seas, rivers and streams in Revelations is your choice. I don't have to agree with you.

Could this be a prelude to prophesy?

I don't think this has anything to do with prophecies. The book of Revelation is very symbolic. The waters in Revelations such as the sea, rivers and streams should be taken symbolically not literally I believe. I'm not trying to say we're not in the end days I just don't believe that the seas...

Peter identifies Jesus as our God and Savior

No it's called common sense, knowing how to read. I, unlike you, know that at Genesis 3:19 God was talking to a person who's name was Adam, so when God said, "dust you are and dust you will return" he was saying that to a person and about that person.

Peter identifies Jesus as our God and Savior

Making it up, no that's you that's doing that. You're the one not believing what God said to Adam. You saying, "returning back to the dust" only meant God was talking about Adams body, that's making something up. You can't show in that Scripture at Genesis 3:19 that God was not talking to the...

Peter identifies Jesus as our God and Savior

You really don't know how to read, do you? I said, if you're saying Jesus didn't exist for parts of three days, you're denying Jesus didn't die for us. I didn't say you were saying, Jesus didn't exist for three days, I said "if" you're denying Jesus didn't exist for parts of three days then...

Peter identifies Jesus as our God and Savior

If you say he didn't exist for parts of three days, then you're teaching Jesus didn't die. That's what's wrong with your teaching is that you do deny Jesus died for us.

You didn't even read what I texted.

Peter identifies Jesus as our God and Savior

That seems hypocrital to me when you don't believe what is written down in Genesis 3:19 and you think that's ok but when JW doesn't believe in the definition of the word torment you do at Revelation 20:10 you judge JW as doing something wrong. You seem to be judging yourself since you don't...

Killing in the name of (Smurfette)

If you believe Jesus taught a variety of beliefs, then you know nothing about Jesus or the scriptures. The scriptures does tell the Christian congregation which is a global congregation that they should look to God’s Word as their guide. 2Timothy 3:16; 2peter 1:21. 1)They taught that Jesus was...

Peter identifies Jesus as our God and Savior

So you don't believe that God was talking to the person known as Adam? Are you saying that the context of this scripture at Genesis 3:19 that God wasn't talking to a person by the name of Adam? Are you saying that the context of this scripture is that God was addressing only the body of Adam and...

Peter identifies Jesus as our God and Savior

Yeah they were, you just don't know as much as you think you do of JW or Kingdom Halls. Also at Revelation 20:10 where the NWT says they will be tormented day and night and forever and ever. All JW don't believe in the definition of the word, "tormented" as you do.
