How to hold tight to our Joy in The Lord, In the midst of our sorrow.

How do we obey, and what. The 10 commandments, every word that proceeded from his mouth. I know alot of Christians that do alot of things and still have no joy, or at least it is fleeting. Just curious because most Christians have practiced obeying what they feel is right and still have the...

    Miracles in an instant

He is our Father, and like a good Father He takes care of His children. Our Father can do anything He pleases. He will heal you every time, except the last time. Jesus said "in my fathers," so the father is filling His house. This world is not our home and we will be in the fathers house with...

How to hold tight to our Joy in The Lord, In the midst of our sorrow.

I understand the premise of expression, but doesn't it seem to put pressure on the believer to work something up?

    About Fasting

Yea, alot of those old timers believed in a 40 day fast. She was unique, peculiar maybe, a little before her time. I knew a youngman of pretty good stature, a karate guy, got saved. Sometime after he did a 40 day, I ran into him and was afraid to ask I didn't know what happened to him, but he...

    About Fasting

Oh was she, my Grandma loved her and used to go to L.A. to see her. I can still remember her intro on her TV show "I beliiiieeeve in miracles." Little bit before my time as a Christian, but my Grandma used to encourage me to watch her.

    About Fasting

Were you able to check the likes of Amy Simple McPherson, Kathern Kuhlman, and those that date even further back. Would surprise me if they did have something on fasting. I heard a story about Jack Cole at a preacher convention, as they got up to testify one by one to fasting and praying, big...

How To Understand 1 Corinthians 14th Chapter

The thing is if people are interested when they join they will follow you. They can go to your profile and pull up all your thread-posts. It's just good forum etiquette to get to the point and be brief.

How To Understand 1 Corinthians 14th Chapter

You may want to break up your discourse to 6 or 10 threads, most folks are just strumming through. Interested in what you have to say, just not the whole load at once, JS just saying.

    Christian Virtuousness

I have never really understood how we feel God is leading one better than He is leading another. Or busy works we get into somehow has God's attention over meager works. Unreal how the mind works, and of coarse has all the scriptures to back it up.

    CAN WE FALL AWAY ?

Nice comment, if believers are going to follow on to know the Lord they will have to follow Paul in his understanding. I can understand people that use all scripture to try to make a gospel that will fit them. It is all the written inspired word of God, just not all written to us as a message...

    Lots of words....

What would you say Christ (who is your life, and the only life you have) reacts to the commandments? We know nothing about our oneness or union (or even a birthing, born again), it is all about me. We try to make it all work according to these 66 books of scripture we have and it doesn't work...

    Lots of words....

You may want to re-read Romans 6 or Galatians 2:20 and see who your life is, you are no-longer a self unto self. You still claim selfhood, as if it is you plus Jesus, self-unto-self no-longer exists. You have no life of your own.

Which life are you claiming now, you have only one life.

    Lots of words....

Which of the the commandments do you think you can keep ? (as a dead man) Very curious, Romans 6.

    Lots of words....

I enjoyed reading about your misery, kidding :-). What it did was cause me to revisit my own conversion years ago and my own misery. You said something that I thought was a good thought when you said "the mystery of sin and the washing away of it even a greater mystery" so true, it brought tears...

    Lots of words....

They can all be defined by: 1) the sin nature (original nature to be killed out at the cross). When John the Baptist saw Jesus coming to be baptized, he said "Behold the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world." That is exactly what the cross did. 2) sins of the flesh now for the BA...

    CAN WE FALL AWAY ?

Good understanding, we see things a little differently but not many see things exactly the same way. Good scriptures, Paul really gives us a great path to follow, he gives us things we can get nowhere else. He had a great teacher (Christ Himself) revealing what it means to be a Christian.

    CAN WE FALL AWAY ?

The mind, the knowledge of good and evil, it will not allow grace to function. It is a controller of the nature, when the believer had a sin nature it had to be controlled, hence the law. The new nature does not need to be controlled, the mind needs to be compatible with the new Christ in you...

    CAN WE FALL AWAY ?

Why would a Christian even entertain the thought, the knowledge of good and evil at best, you will see that one day. We all go through it trying to keep believers saved some how, vicious cycle.
