    What about Hell ?

Who says I'm limiting myself to one verse. In the Bible the Hebrew word translated soul is Ne'phesh and the greek word is psy•khe. In examining the way these terms are used in the Bible, it becomes evident that they basically refer to (1) people, (2) animals, or (3) the life that a person or...

    What about Hell ?

What you have said here is something I've always disagreed with .You are basically saying what other people say who believe that you have a Soul that separates at death and either goes to God if righteous or somewhere else if unrighteous. The scriptures say both righteous and unrighteous go to...

    What about Hell ?

You have a right to what you believe and a right to talk to people about it. Just remember other people have a right to disagree with you and just because they disagree with you doesn't make them wrong. It just means they disagree with you. In scripture at Genesis 2:7 it say man became a living...

Lazarus and the Rich Man correspondence = hades not eternal

I agree we should pay attention to it, it's just that those who believe In the hellfire doctrine and believe we have souls rather than we are souls will see things differently I believe.

Lazarus and the Rich Man correspondence = hades not eternal

The only thing I was trying to say is that the name Lazarus, and the phrase rich man represented a class of people because someone was trying to say that because the name Lazarus was used it wasn't a parable but there reasoning was flawed.

Lazarus and the Rich Man correspondence = hades not eternal

if both individuals in the story had personal names I could understand your point but the rich man is just called the rich man, he's not given a personal name like Lazarus.

    Can Satan create?

I don't believe Satan can read minds but he has been around since before God created us so Satan has study mankind so much that he can tell when something like greed, violence, jealousy and hatred controls someone. He knows how to manipulate such people.

    Can Satan create?

I would say that Satan influence people to listen to him therefore he becomes these people God. Satan also influence people to build images. Also because Satan influence people to listen to his lies about how people should live who God is and what type person God is Satan has caused a great...

    Can Satan create?

I think it would be more accurate to say Satan causes confusion and chaos rather than create it

God the Holy Spirit - third person of the Godhead

At Acts 15 I believe you are ignoring too many things that are in that chapter of Acts. Like when James who stood up to talk and spoke about what Peter had done when the people of the nation's(Gentiles) were first called. Do you recall that incident that James is bringing up? How God in a vision...

God the Holy Spirit - third person of the Godhead

You are the one who doesn't get the point. I am referring to what is written down in black and white in the scriptures. In regard to the scriptures of John that you refer these scriptures when using such words as Advocate or comforter when he refers back to them he uses the word "he", in other...

God the Holy Spirit - third person of the Godhead

These scriptures don't use the word "he" when speaking of the Spirit, instead these scriptures use the word "it" when speaking of the Spirit. Why would these scriptures use the word "it" when speaking of the Spirit? If John was trying to speak of a third person of a Godhead why wouldn't he use...

God the Holy Spirit - third person of the Godhead

you have ignored what I said regarding the Greek manuscripts. Did John use the masculine pronoun despite the neuter gender of the word “spirit”? Was his purpose to show that the spirit is indeed a person? Why not reread John chapter 16:7,8? What is the antecedent of the pronoun “he”? In other...

God the Holy Spirit - third person of the Godhead

In connection with the John 17:7,8 , the New Catholic Encyclopedia (Vol. 13, pp. 575, 576) observes: “So clearly does St. John see in the Spirit a person who takes Christ’s place in the Church, that he uses a masculine pronoun [e·keiʹnos] in reference to the Spirit even though [pneuʹma, spirit]...

    Would You Still...

I believe the righteous are those who do the right thing in keeping with scripture. The Pharisees who focused on the oral law which they said Moses past down, which isn't true. Moses past down the law covenant, which included the ten commandments. The oral law the Pharisees we're speaking of...

    Would You Still...

My reservation is that too many people ignore scripture, meaning the way people reason on the scriptures they are actually ignoring scripture and living by their own righteousness although they think they are living by God word. I believe this scripture you're quoting which is 1John 3:7 is...

    Would You Still...

"Don't be deceived, little children", is scripture right meaning this is God speaking to us. So taking this scripture in the context that it's written, what is God saying? If you love God whatever he is telling us in this scripture we listen and put into practice because we have faith that he...
