Bad advice, brother. How can one be free until they know the truth? In my experience people who gave this advice only hindered my healing. When I gave up their imposed guilt and shame, and gave in to the Lord, He brought me to the roots and brought true healing and freedom.

No doubt. That's how they work. They will have an overall goal to have certain things in place by a certain time, then the plans begin to come about over time, and they are very very patient. Something will be planned decades in advance to meet their overall goal (to bring in the antichrist).
