    Not a sinner.

What saves (as concerning baptism) is faith in the operation of God. Col 2:12, Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. heart surgery: Eze 36:25, Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and...

    Seeing Sanctification

There is no self-effort in my salvation. Good point. The same factor that made me born again, is the factor that causes me to abide. See Ezekiel 36:25-27. Not by self-effort. By faith. The only thing I must do, in order to abide, is to be responsive to the Holy Spirit when He speaks...

    understanding Paul

I'm afraid that I have to disagree with you when you say that men could adopt a new nature under the OT. I think that you have even taught contrary to this in time past? This is what I mean by confusing...you teach one thing under one context, but under a different context you teach the exact...

    Seeing Sanctification

Thank you for agreeing with me...because I was being sarcastic. enduring, abiding, commandment keeping is the sure result of real salvation. We do not do them in order to be saved....we do them because we truly have been saved. To endure and to abide and even to keep the commandments is not...

What are Your Feelings on Tithes

Beside the point. The point being, that the temple was not destroyed after the people gave their tithes, contrary to God's promise that the devourer would not come. The temple was destroyed because Israel did not know the time of her visitation; for all you know the whole tithe was not brought...

What are Your Feelings on Tithes

I once read a parable or story of how the widow's penny went to the salvation of souls while the greater amounts given by Pharisees only went to the temple which ended up being destroyed. Her actual penny was used to pen a verse of scripture and that verse saved someone's soul.

What are Your Feelings on Tithes

Don't be ridiculous. The destruction of the temple in 70 A.D. in no way represents the rebuking of the devourer mentioned in Malachi. You make a mockery of God's word in saying this. The reality is simple...that the scribes and Pharisees, while they gave a tenth of anise and cumin and other...

entire sanctification is an obtainable goal.

I think that Adam and Eve did not discern good and evil but made gods of themselves so that they could determine good and evil for themselves, based on what they wanted evil and good to be. See Hebrews 5:14. Discerning good and evil is a good thing.

    understanding Paul

The false teaching is humanism...a denial of the reality of Jeremiah 17:9 and a variety of other verses in the Bible.

    Seeing Sanctification

Sure, what Matthew and the book of Hebrews says on the subject is the heresy that Paul was talking about in Galatians 1:8. These verses... Matthew 10:22 Hebrews 3:6 Hebrews 3:14.

    To @Behold.

To @Behold, Your contention that I am not a deep student of the word indicates that you know that this is what I am; and you consider that a threat to your monopolizing as a teacher here on these boards. I assure you that my daily reading quota in the word is quite extensive; and that I read...

    Coming INTO the LIGHT.

I'm certain that Peter knew what the Lord Jesus had taught him about grace during his time with him on earth; and that he taught what needed to be taught about grace to Jewish converts. That Peter had to be dealt with concerning allowing Gentiles into the fold does not mean that Jesus hadn't...

    understanding Paul

1Co 4:12, And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: 1Co 4:13, Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day. I agree that @marks has a great spirit and that he could...

    understanding Paul

I'm certainly not trying to be nasty, or have a nasty spirit. But, when I see false teaching, I will identify it as such, for the sake of those who might be deceived by it if it were not identified as such. It is out of love for the sheep that I am "being nasty to you". Because it is the...

I think that it might be good for you to stick to the Bible.

BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF JESUS

So, what? You believe they will be reincarnated when the millennial kingdom begins?

    understanding Paul

I think that it would be wise for the reader not to read @Randy Kluth's posts. I consider him to be a false teacher; but his posts carry confusion in them and it is difficult therefore for me to answer them. I am therefore thankful that @marks has picked up the task to a certain degree.

    understanding Paul

And, in application, how are these things any different? I didn't do it to you because you did it to me; but the fact that you did it to me does make the fact that I did it to you less condemnable by you. Because you did it yourself, judging me for the same thing you would also be judging...

If you're going to be justified before God by your works...killing two people is the way to do it...:confused:o_O:eek:
