God's Grace keeps on giving the Blood

It is a commandment within the law that we "love the Lord our God with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength;" and, "our neighbor as ourselves"... 'nuff said! But I will say one more thing (maybe two)... That if you don't measure up to the commandment that the Lord has given for you to...

God's Grace keeps on giving the Blood

I beg to differ with you. To "love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength;" and "your neighbor as yourself" is in fact a commandment that is greater than the ten. The ten commandments are said to be the law of God; how much more then, are the two commandments on which...

God's Grace keeps on giving the Blood

If there were a law given that could impart life, surely righteousness would have been by the law. That being said, the command to "love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength; and, your neighbor as yourself" is a law of the Lord...a such, it is not able to impart life...

Was the death on the cross necessary?

Jesus is the Christ, 1 John 5:1, and the Bible clearly tells us that Christ died for our sins. You don't believe this, and you are not born of God.

Was the death on the cross necessary?

Jesus is not the Christ in your opinion? Try a Bible Search on "Christ died for our sins." 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 should come right up.

Was the death on the cross necessary?

That the OP question was even asked and that the controversy over that question has gone on for fifteen pages indicates to me that there are unbelievers present.

Paper Money and Fiat Currency is the Mark of the Beast

Why start yet another thread on this issue when you have made this very same thread a multitude of times and were defeated in your premise? I will only say this: that the verses below show that the time of the Lord's judgment will not occur unless a falling away comes first and the son of...

You can have "ALL" God wants you to have!!

@DNB: I believe, based on John 8:24 and verses that are in its topical context, that to deny that Jesus is God would mean that I would die in my sins. And I do indeed believe that Jesus is God. As such, I don't see any point in conversing any further with you. Paul wrote that if anyone...

    How the Law harms you.

My Christianity is not "ruined". And also, I rarely pay attention to commentaries any more; I normally read the Bible alone with reliance on the Holy Ghost to show me what He meant by what is written. I do sometimes read the notes in my Life Application Bible.

    How the Law harms you.

The law is indeed holy, and righteous, and good (Romans 7:12); as a schoolmaster to lead men to Christ (Romans 3:20, Galatians 5:24). It shows us that we are sinners in need of a Saviour so that we will come to the Saviour and be redeemed. It cannot impart life (Galatians 3:21) but it is able...

Jesus taught this "heresy" in John 16:7-11.

You can have "ALL" God wants you to have!!

God the Father exists in eternity; and as such, He dwells in eternity eternally. Therefore, in descending to become a Man, He would not cease to dwell in eternity. From the perspective of being in eternity, God is able to have power over His incarnate self to raise His incarnate self from the...

God's Grace keeps on giving the Blood

That's true...the law was not made for a righteous man, but for the ungodly and the sinner.

God's Grace keeps on giving the Blood

While, as believers, we are not under the law (Romans 6:14), are dead to the law (Romans 7:4, Galatians 2:19) and are delivered from the law (Romans 7:6); it is also true that we are under the law to Christ (1 Corinthians 9:21). An apparent contradiction? What this means is that, while the law...

You can have "ALL" God wants you to have!!

I suppose that wisdom has the answer to the question of whether Jesus spoke at 2 yrs. of age. In the hypostatic union, He is 100% Human and 100% Divine....100% x 100% = 100%. In that He took on the added nature of humanity (a finite human body), He had to empty Himself of certain attributes of...

God's Grace keeps on giving the Blood

I'm interested in what your testimony might be...and I request that you go over to the testimony forum and share it. If there was no preaching of the word involved, then Romans 10:14-15 isn't valid as holy scripture. But of course you may have had an encounter with Jesus in a dream or...
