    Discernment vs Critisism

Yes we are children of God; and in this we are not sinners: in that we "do not" and "can not" sin as those who are born of God (1 John 3:9) and "sin not" as those who are abiding in Christ (1 John 3:6). But we are sinners in that until we get a new, glorified body, our bodies are vile...

Christians and the Law of Moses

Paul wrote that he was under the law to Christ (1 Corinthians 9:21). The law is also written on the hearts and minds of New Covenant believers (Hebrews 8:8-10, Hebrews 10:16, Romans 8:7, Romans 8:4). The only sense in which we are not under the law is in that we are no longer condemned by it...

    Seeing Sanctification

I know what gnostic teaching is...I've been told what it is in the context of Christian teaching. I don't have access to gnostic documents that deceive those who read them into believing gnosticism. Do you? In pointing one finger at me, you have three pointing back at you. In trying to take...

    Spotting the Heretic

Of course, we can "keep ourselves saved", "work out our salvation", "abide" and try to be a good disciple, with Him. In my Bible (the kjv) he says, "nevertheless I live".

    Seeing Sanctification

I don't have any access to gnostic teachings; and neither do I read them. If I did, I would probably have been influenced by them as it seems to be the case with you. I know what I have been taught by solid pastors on what gnosticism is all about. I will do my best right now to find the post...

    Spotting the Heretic

Praise the Lord, @Davy. The rest of Hebrews 6 teaches us that we have Jesus as an anchor of the soul; so that if we cleave unto Him, we cannot lose what He has given unto us. It is confirmed by two immutable things: 1) It is impossible for God to lie; and, 2) He confirmed it by an oath.

    Temporal Salvation?

@Davy, If you read the whole chapter in Hebrews 6, really study it...you will come to the same conclusion that I have...that Jesus is an anchor for the soul and is entered within the veil to make intercession for us...so if we cling to Jesus, we cannot lose our salvation no matter how hard the...

    Seeing Sanctification

I have shown elsewhere that your teaching is gnostic in its personality.

    Temporal Salvation?

Where did I ever accuse you falsely? You are hallucinating.

If the Truth appeared to you... would you believe it?

No, I am not. I walk in general victory over and freedom from, the law of sin and death.

    Narrow is the Way

But you couldn't say, "Jesus is my Lord"...which indicates something about you (1 Corinthians 12:3). But as for concerning whether you have sin or not...I will be clear that your teaching is heresy...and this is your first admonition on the matter coming from me.

    Job #3

If I am born then I will live. That is all I'm saying. Whether I am a baby, adolescent, teenager spiritually, I will live the Christian life if I am born again. If that includes sinning, confessing, and repenting, so be it. But there is a faultiness in your main premise; and that is that if...

    Seeing Sanctification

Friend, I am merely trying to convince you, out of love, to stop deceiving yourself. I do have indwelling sin; but this does not mean that I am living a life of sin. I find that sin has been rendered dead within me so that it no longer has any authority over my behaviour. You have a vile...

If the Truth appeared to you... would you believe it?

Only if you are teaching that the life that we are to live is to be one of unholiness and unrighteousness.

    Temporal Salvation?

This is what Jesus said on the matter: Mat 7:15, Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Mat 7:16, Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Mat 7:17, Even so every good tree bringeth...

    Works

Amen, @Randy Kluth. Sometimes it can be a sin to point out other people's errors....it borders on the realm of accusation and taking on the nature and employment of the accuser. I would suggest spending more time in God's word than you do posting on the forums...it may benefit you as a...

    Narrow is the Way

The question is, Is He the Lord of your life, personally? Do you obey Him? Jesus said, Luk 6:46, And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? If Jesus were really your Lord you would not deny His statements as the Spirit that you have indwelling sin.
  18. J

    Job #3

And if you are spiritually born again, you will live a life that is spiritual...you will walk according to the Spirit.
  19. J

    Seeing Sanctification

Yep. In denying indwelling sin you deceive yourself and the truth is not in you.

If the Truth appeared to you... would you believe it?

I would say that my wife lives the life that I am talking about and she would say that I live it.
