    The narrow way

The tortoise and the hare is a good fable about being diligent in reading God's word on a daily basis.

Pray that we will have a President that is favourable to Christians.

I don't believe that what is written in the book of Revelation is God's perfect and active will for our culture. The "Amen" at the end of the book indicates to me that the book is a prayer of the devil interspersed with statements by the apostle John that make the church victorious in the long run.

Pray that we will have a President that is favourable to Christians.

I don't want to be living on the face of the earth when the Antichrist reigns...and I am also uncertain about a pre-tribulation rapture. With that in mind I don't think it will hurt anyone for the church to pray for a situation that is favourable to Christians in our nation for the time being...

    The narrow way

And you're right...because the only thing that will generate the love of the Lord in your heart is faith in Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:14); and receiving the love of the Holy Spirit by that faith (Romans 5:5) as a free gift. But I suppose that the saying is true, that in the last days men will...

    The narrow way

Praise the LORD! All of this talk about the need for love is the preaching of the law as a schoolmaster to lead men to Christ. It is showing you that you are a sinner in need of a Saviour. I suggest that you repent and give your heart to Jesus Christ immediately.

No, you missed the bema seat judgment that happens at the time of Revelation 11:18.

Pray that we will have a President that is favourable to Christians.

A governor of the land that is not favourable towards Christians will not be favourable to God's plans. A governor of the land that hates righteous people will also hate righteousness as a general rule.

Pray that we will have a President that is favourable to Christians.

2Sa 23:3, The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God. I don't think that it's Biden. I heard him use curse words (publicly on television) when he was running with Obama for VP. Pro 29:24, Whoso is partner with a...

Pray that we will have a President that is favourable to Christians.

Amen. I think that if God gives people what they want, and the government defunds the police, that there will be mayhem and anarchy with no one to protect the general public. I pray that God gives these people a vision of what they are really asking for without actually giving them what they...

Pray that we will have a President that is favourable to Christians.

A President who is favourable to God will be favourable to born again Christians who understand the book of Revelation. See the link. The year of discrimination.

    The narrow way

There are indeed rewards in the kingdom of heaven for those things that we do that stand the test of fire (1 Corinthians 3:11-15)..

Pray that we will have a President that is favourable to Christians.

I suggest praying and fasting for the five-day period leading up to the election; and also praying and fasting as the Spirit leads for the rest of the time leading up to the election. The year of discrimination.

    The narrow way

Anything that we do that is in any way deserving of reward (gold, silver, or precious gems) is not of ourselves but is motivated by the gift of God within us: the Holy Spirit and His love. It develops out of our salvation which is not of works, lest any man should boast.

    The year of discrimination.

Last election what availed to put our current President into office (instead of Hilary) was that a television pastor called on the church to fast and pray concerning the election. This will avail more than our individual votes; while we ought indeed to go to the polls and cast our votes in the...

    The narrow way

Works do not bring forth salvation; however salvation bringeth forth works that are born of the Spirit.

    intentional sins?

It could only bring a personal (and false) righteousness that we might be able to boast about. "mine own righteousness, which is of the law." This is Isaiah 64:6 righteousness. The only true righteousness is that which we can't boast about, "the righteousness which is of God by faith."...

    intentional sins?

I did not deny it. Read my statements again.
  18. J

    The narrow way

Of course not. Keeping it short: We are saved by a living faith alone; it is obvious that we are saved by faith alone; while faith that saves is never alone. In such a situation as the thief on the Cross, there is no works exhibited that would save the man. However, the regeneration that...

    intentional sins?

The Spirit of Christ would teach us today, not sinless perfection; but entire sanctification. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 1 John 1:8. The scripture has concluded all (including the born again; for "all" means "all") under sin, that the...
