How does the Theory of Penal Substitution Atonement necessitate the Cross?

The real question is, who has to punch me in the nose for justice to be satisfied. Thankfully for me, Jesus took that punch in the nose on my behalf.

    Grace is NOT unmerited favor!

The letter requires that we not do any work on the sabbath day. Exodus 20:10. But Jesus said, My Father worketh hereunto; and I work. John 5:17. Then the apostle John testifies under inspiration of the Holy Ghost (John 5:18) that Jesus had not only broken the sabbath but had also said that...

    Grace is NOT unmerited favor!

Yet not even Jesus kept the letter of the sabbath day laws (Exodus 20:10; John 5:17-18); which are found within the context of the Ten Commandments.

God gives Power to become Rich. Gain Riches, Wealth. and Success.

It is not a sicko mentality that leads men to do this with their children. Children who don't learn the value of money will very likely squander it once they come into their inheritances.

    Grace is NOT unmerited favor!

Actually, we are able to obey the spirit of the law (1 John 3:9); while the letter is impossible to keep (Galatians 3:22, Galatians 6:13). For the letter includes the wearing of tzitzit and tallit and tefilin; a man would have to become an orthodox Jew in order to be saved; something which Paul...

    Misrepresentation of the Law

Most certainly the law is written on the hearts and in the minds of NT believers (Hebrews 8:8-10, Hebrews 10:16). However, this is a righteousness that is apart from the law that is attested to by the law and the prophets (Romans 3:21). In bearing the fruit of the Spirit there is no law that...

    Grace is NOT unmerited favor!

Of course, the gift of salvation is indeed the gift of righteousness (Romans 5:17). This righteousness is practical (Matthew 5:6, Romans 5:19, 1 John 3:7); a man who does what is righteous, is righteous even as Christ is righteous.

    Grace is NOT unmerited favor!

What I am trying to say to you is that if you are attempting to earn your salvation through works / law-keeping / abstaining from sin; then all of the Old Testament applies as a definer of sins (as well as certain moral tenets of the New Testament). But if you understand that you are not under...

God gives Power to become Rich. Gain Riches, Wealth. and Success.

How does Isaiah 53 apply to the verses in question? Also, a person can be blessed financially without necessarily having the love of money be in their hearts. I understand that such a thing would be a miracle. But the Lord is in the business of doing miracles.

    Grace is NOT unmerited favor!

    See Matthew 5:17-20; James 2:10, Galatians 3:10, Matthew 5:48.

How does the Theory of Penal Substitution Atonement necessitate the Cross?

Again, the question that I ask is: Should the officer who killed George Floyd be acquitted of his crime if he merely says, "I won't do it again"? On his day of judgment, should he be allowed into heaven as a murderer (one who has killed another) apart from Jesus taking the penalty for his sin?

God gives Power to become Rich. Gain Riches, Wealth. and Success.

A little while ago, I bought a beautiful plaque that says "Love one another as I have loved you." on it. I consider that while this is a treasure that I have on earth, it is also a heavenly treasure; because it reminds my family of the word of God.

My public condemnation of Robin Williams years ago.

I'm afraid that, in context, that is talking about dying to sin and not physical death....and also, in the kjv, it is not rendered "acquitted" but "freed" or "set free".

How big is Jesus Christ now?

I don't... Luke 9:55-56, in the NIV and NASB (and apparently, the Bible used by this forum also). In the kjv: Luk 9:55, But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. Luk 9:56, For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them...

    Who are you ?

See James 1:14-16. A man cannot be unborn spiritually...but he can die spiritually. Of course, James 1:14-16 is qualified by John 11:25-27. And in combining these verses, I conclude that the one who lives and believes in Jesus will never allow sin to become full-grown in his life so that it...

What to do about Carnal moments.

Of course, the scripture does say the following (I am attempting to draw out a response here): Rom 11:19, Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in. Rom 11:20, Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but...

A solution to the race problem on the force.

All I'm saying is that there would be a certain level of comfort for the black person because he knows he is not the object of racism when he is being apprehended by the cops. It would have the similar effect of when a femalr cop is deployed to a situation that is non-violent. There is more...

Was Adam Imparted Free Will From The Beginning Of Creation?

Hi @BARNEY BRIGHT, I wanted to ask you what you would do if you were standing before Jesus Christ to be judged and He proclaimed to you with all of the holy angels that you were mistaken all of your life and that He is in fact the God who created you. What is your reaction? Do you buckle your...

Just read the parable again; and consider that two examples are set forth. Which one of them are you?
