Indeed, the brother of low degree is exalted; but the rich one is made low; James 1:9-10.

    Our Gracious Calling

It seems to say in the verse (Romans 6:16) that obedience is unto righteousness rather than the other way around. My understanding of the rest of the Bible tells me that this doesn't fly. So this is a wrench in the monkey-works for me, so to speak.

You can have "ALL" God wants you to have!!

I have already explained this in my thread on the True Trinity. God the Father stayed behind in eternity while at the same time moving forward to incarnate as the Son.

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

If you think that he is unaware of these passages as a born again believer then you are quite mistaken. Don't you think that he posted what he posted with these passages in the back of his mind? Therefore, I would ask, why would anyone deliberately lie about something knowing that it will put...

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

I beg to differ. Apologetics is defined as the art of making a defense of the faith; and certain people are called to that arena.

I believe that if we keep the word of His patience as Philadelphia, He will keep us from that hour of trial (Revelation 3:10).

I left open the option that I might be wrong and therefore have not slandered him. That you would accuse me of doing so after I defended you is some kind of betrayal.

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

If the jet were used to travel as a missionary to other countries, I can see how that would propagate the gospel. But I don't think JD uses it for that purpose. I could be wrong.

I agree; but how does Romans 6:16 apply?

You can have "ALL" God wants you to have!!

That is an excellent point. I wonder why the apostles themselves had to go through such hardship when the curse of Deuteronomy 28 is so clearly removed from them by the principle and promise of Galatians 3:13. Surely there must be some reason. I do know that in 1 Corinthians 4, Paul wrote...

I think he is talking about the curse of the law in Deuteronomy 28 that falls on those who are disobedient; which includes poverty.

Can you give the references on that again?

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

Peace makers do in fact place a value on the truth; for they shall be called the sons of God: and do not the sons of God normally place a value on the truth? I believe that it is the case.

Often, the poverty of fellow brothers and sisters in the Lord provides opportunity for those who have wealth to be able to give to them and thus secure a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life (1 Timothy 6:19).
