    The Body

I only now found this post @soul man , I always love your posts and once again, this ones spot on. A Christian set apart from other brothers and sisters is like a once burning ember that was taken out of the fire...just diminishes more and more...yes we so do need one another. ♥

    The Epistle To The Hebrews

I do agree here Stan. Although, my own preference is the KJV as, I started out on it and, can remember the scriptures easier. Although...I do think it good to have several translations handy.

    'The Messenger of The Covenant'

Hello Chris, I'm sorry it took me so long to reply here...have been otherwise interrupted...or, um..engaged lol. "'In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the angel of His presence saved them:..." This does sound like Jesus...and like you said, lot's of material to consider there yet...

    'The Messenger of The Covenant'

"Could the messenger of the covenant be referring to the lord & the messenger referring to john the Baptist " This is just what I was thinking as well First. Then I read what @charity wrote, here esp. : " 'My Messenger':- John the Baptist (as you say) - Matthew 3:3; Matthew 11:10; Isaiah...

    PEARL'S PEARLS; encouragement & inspiration.

Love this comparison here Pat. Born, raised and live in Buffalo Ny and we have many awesome and crazy storms. We also have had tornadoes, and live on a fault line, we get maybe a tremor once or twice in ten years, Of course, the tornadoes are nothing at all compared to other states like Texas...

All the ELECT please stand up

Yes, and Amen, I suppose we could say that any protestant is "reformed" really, lol. "After his death his views were considered to be outside of Calvinism." Yes, and it was what, 8 or 9 years after his death? Even though, the 5 points of TULIP are not at all what I read in Gods Word, there...

All the ELECT please stand up

Hello John, You say that Jacob Arminius died a Calvinist. And, I think that is kind of a complicated question/statement? This is from a very good, short article from Arminius the Calvinist - The Scriptorium Daily Here is some of it: "Arminius a Calvinist? What’s next, Luther a Catholic...

"Let's see it this way, if the spirits of the prophets are to be subjected to other prophets, do you really think there will be order?" Lol @emekrus. My guess would be...it would cause even more chaos!

    It left me thinking......

"Reasoning" and "disputing" do not equal "arguing". How many "arguments" have you seen sway ANYBODY on here? It seems that you are the audacious one here, in all your huffing and puffing over a simple meaning and "presuming" an awful lot about someone you don't know.

    Matthew 7:22-23

Wonderful thoughtful gifts! I will try after this afternoon to see if I can get this book on Amazon. The actual book itself is definitely preferable. Thank you!

    Matthew 7:22-23

Thank you Chris! I do try to remain objective and keep any personal "feelings" and such out...it doesn't always play out that way though  I saved the 7 "W's" to my desktop and will attempt to build solid study habits as, I'm a good reader, but...study? - not so great at. When I get home...

    Pray in thy closet

"Too short and too narrow" Hahaha, yes, I would say this for many folks today

    Matthew 7:22-23

Hi Chris!, What an interesting approach to Scripture. It would take some transparency for me to recognize the figures of speech from back in those days like, the camel and the eye of the needle - that one is easy enough... I'm not yet seeing it in these verses...unless it's speaking to hearing...

Lol...I am happy that someone can understand it! :D

    Matthew 7:22-23

Hi Chris, Just re-reading some posts "* It is important also to know: - Who is speaking? and, To Whom? Isn't it? At what time? What is actually being said (or the words used) ? What comes before, and what comes after (the context) ? Who is speaking? To whom? At what time? With what intent? -...

    Pray in thy closet

This from dictionary .com Hegelian dialectic noun an interpretive method, originally used to relate specific entities or events to the absolute idea,in which some assertible proposition (thesis) is necessarily opposed by an equally assertibleand apparently contradictory proposition (antithesis)...
