Hi Philip Yes, ByGrace said pretty much the same thing. Thanks :) Just out of curiosity, when I was RC, we were told to pray for those in "purgatory" and, I wonder if that is still taught? Can we even pray God is merciful to those that passed on, who did not accept Jesus as Lord and Savior...

Good article. I totally agree that doctrine is simply "teachings of Christ". We humans just love to complicate all things biblical :( And I love this: "Those who have succeeded in defining doctrine most closely, have lost Christ most completely." For real!

I wish there were a purgatory! Ha! No second chances after death...I can see how comforting this erroneous doctrine can be.
