The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Thank you. For one thing, you have not proven that they are lies....secondly, I have not condemned you for exposing them...rather, I have rebuked the spirit in which you think that you have exposed them. That is not a lie. You should really consider how that scripture applies to the...

Typical little sin-loving man needs to choose to change his heart.

I agree that it is an oxymoron. But it must be shown forth that not everyone who thinks they are a Christian is necessarily saved. And this is my way of doing that; by making a distinction between a "Christian" (the nominal type) and the born again type.

Sin and Atonement; each in two stages?

One must receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour in order to be saved from inherent sin as an element; as well as actual sins committed and their penalty. I do believe that the scripture teaches that there will be given an opportunity at the GWT judgment for those who never heard the gospel...

Christ FULFILLED the Law of Moses

The law applies to the unbeliever (in the sense of Galatians 3:10, James 2:10-12, Matthew 5:48) whether he is a Jew or a Gentile. Gal 3:23, But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

How to debate the Bible: for beginners

In the OT it says that the LORD will not hold you guiltless. However, I do believe that Acts of the Apostles 13:39 does come into play here. cont'd from #90.

How to debate the Bible: for beginners

Yes... When the opportunity to obey 1 John 5:16 (or any other verse) arises, do we not obey, however?

How to debate the Bible: for beginners

This thread has been quite refreshing.

How to debate the Bible: for beginners

Paul did teach, however, that the people he was speaking to were perfect...1 Corinthians 5:7, Colossians 2:10.

How to debate the Bible: for beginners

No...just the sin that you confessed within the post (that you took the name of the Lord in vain).

How to debate the Bible: for beginners

Forgive her, Lord Jesus! (1 John 5:16). Thank you. (1 John 1:9).

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

I'm sure you want your children to follow your example in behaving like this.

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

I think I need documentation for this. I never heard of this being a practice of gnosticism.

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

It is talking about something that will happen in the latter times...and therefore could not have been referring to something that was happening as early as the 1st Century. No, it is definitely talking about the practice in the Catholic Church of forbidding Catholic Priests to marry.

Christ FULFILLED the Law of Moses

As those who have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, we are not under the law (Romans 6:14) are dead to the law (Romans 7:4, Galatians 2:19) and are delivered from the law (Romans 7:4). (see also Ephesians 2:15-16, Colossians 2:14, and Hebrews 7:18-19). So the law no longer condemns the...

    ...being justified by grace...

To add to the OP: Eph 2:1, And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Eph 2:2, Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Eph 2:3, Among...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

It remains that the Catholic Church places it as a condition for being in the ministry as a priest that they are forbidden to marry...and that this is indeed forced. not. This is what I believe. However, all three Persons are also the same Person/God. Col 2:20, Wherefore if ye be dead...

    ...being justified by grace...

But you have just flat out contradicted Romans 4:6, which tells us that God imputes righteousness "apart from works". So, is not a faith that does not have works accompanying it, alone? What do you propose is there with the faith that is apart from works so that it would not be alone...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

So then, there are benefits to being a Priest; and if you want those benefits you are forbidden to marry. Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your heart. (Hebrews 3:7-8, Hebrews 3:15, Hebrews 4:7) God is distinctly three Persons (and one). This is my definition....and it is the...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

What is the difference, then, between these and those who are not allowed to marry? My question after this is, if the privileges be the same, our best bet is to become one of these rather than an actual priest; so that we can have the privilege of being able to marry the one we love. Why then...

Typical little sin-loving man needs to choose to change his heart.

Again, there are most assuredly non-Christians whose eyes shall fall upon the message given by @GISMYS_7. And some of the Christians whose eyes shall fall on these messages, may indeed not be born again of the Holy Spirit; and therefore if they died tonight; or the rapture occurred: they would...
