Is having Faith in the gospel considered a "work"?

At least, no more "works" than obedience...which is better than sacrifice, BTW :)

Is having Faith in the gospel considered a "work"?

"If one, through their own free will puts their Faith in the gospel, are they "saving themselves"? IMHO no!

Lol. You are allowed up there, just don't fall off

Luke 16 the rich man in hell lift up his eyes in torment

No, I am NOT saying that at all! I was just asking questions about "the worm that never dies" Then I thought of: Matthew 25:46 46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” So I paraphrased and used "suffering" rather than "punishment". I think...

The Flawed Reasoning Of Total Depravity

So, Ramses had a nickname, huh :D "Tutmoses III - not Ramses who is so often identified as the Pharaoh of the Exodus by those who reject the historicity of the Bible " Yes, and I would include Hollywood in that too. Ha, the "fake mummy" "like at the bottom of the Red Sea?"...me tinx you could...

Luke 16 the rich man in hell lift up his eyes in torment

Because they will see evil for what it is - contrasted with the Light of The Living God. Of course, myself being a follower of Christ might make me a bit bias there, ha.

Luke 16 the rich man in hell lift up his eyes in torment

Thanks for the reply marks! Well, since there is no good in man, inherently good, not sold on that idea, lol. Could it be symbolic of something else? Perhaps the unending suffering Jesus spoke of-being separated forever from God? Hmm. :)

    Automated restaurants

This has been the trend here in Western Ny as well. Soon enough, there will be the super rich and the super poor only...no middle class. Machines are taking over so many jobs, all in the name of filthy lucre!! That's why I pray so for my nieces and nephews to become saved and grow in The...

The Flawed Reasoning Of Total Depravity

1 John 2 New International Version (NIV) 2 My dear children, <--- (Born again believers) I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours...

The Flawed Reasoning Of Total Depravity

Yes, I can agree with this Dave. I believe He wants us to totally depend on Him and His ways. When we cannot do what He wills, we simply need ask Him, as I believe that is the kind of humility and dependence He seeks..? He sure knows that I depend on Him for every single thing! :)

The Flawed Reasoning Of Total Depravity

No, I would not say we are ever under Satan's power! Yet, we are still influenced by him, especially through other people and their actions.

The Flawed Reasoning Of Total Depravity

The whole world is the whole world without exception! He loves even sinners even though they might not be His child but, just His creation. He came FOR the lost, sinners and all were lost and sinful, and many will remain in that state. But if the bible says He died for the sins of the world...
