The Flawed Reasoning Of Total Depravity

    See Ecclesiastes 9:11.

Is belief in the Trinity necessary for salvation?

Doctrine is important. 1Ti 4:16, Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee. If someone departs from the word of the Lord concerning essential doctrine, then they are not saved. Of course, there is...

Is belief in the Trinity necessary for salvation?

There is no scripture that says that you must believe in the Trinity in order to be saved. The Deity of Christ, yes. The Trinity, no. If someone who is truly saved converts to Oneness Pentecostalism, I don't think they would lose their salvation. John 5:24, John 6:47, John 10:27-30 is clear...

Can a Christian have a demon?

Rom 11:11, I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. Rom 11:12, Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles...

The Flawed Reasoning Of Total Depravity

For me it was definitely a choice. I think that looking at all of the circumstances and factors involved, I could not have made any other...but it was a choice nonetheless. If one or more of the circumstances or factors had been any different, my choice might have been different.

The Flawed Reasoning Of Total Depravity

Not that I'm aware of. But of course I was being facetious.

The Flawed Reasoning Of Total Depravity

A person can be on the forums and also not argue with certain people over certain subjects.

The Flawed Reasoning Of Total Depravity

If the doctrine of Irresistible Grace be a reality, then all that a person needs for salvation is for us to pray for them. And no one is beyond knowing truth if we will but do so; if grace is indeed irresistible.

The Flawed Reasoning Of Total Depravity

Rom 10:9, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Rom 10:10, For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Rom 10:11, For...

The Flawed Reasoning Of Total Depravity

Or, 3) We can agree to disagree, and resort to praying for those who differ from us, if we think of their pov as being something that will keep them out of the kingdom.

The Flawed Reasoning Of Total Depravity

God didn't write the scriptures only to the Jewish people. The common person who reads interprets all as meaning all.

The Flawed Reasoning Of Total Depravity

This is where we differ. I hold that all means all...whereas you believe that all is referring to some within every people group.

    Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit

This is what would qualify those who have blasphemed the Holy Ghost. Those who have not, are able to come to Christ in repentance; there is something in them that continues to be willing to receive salvation.

The Flawed Reasoning Of Total Depravity

I once (at a time in which I believed in Calvinism) quoted 1 Timothy 2:6 wrong by saying that it said, "He gave Himself a ransom for many." But that is not what it says. It actually says, 1Ti 2:6, Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

The Flawed Reasoning Of Total Depravity

I see that this has been already answered adequately; but I think that I will say it again. Christ died for all the sins of all men; and has made the condition and entrance into forgiveness faith in Him. Therefore, unbelief or rejection of Him would effectively keep a person from experiencing...

Can a Christian have a demon?

Psa 129:1, [[A Song of degrees.]] Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say: Psa 129:2, Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me. Psa 129:3, The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows. Psa 129:4, The...

Can a Christian have a demon?

Isa 66:7, Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child. Isa 66:8, Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she...

The Flawed Reasoning Of Total Depravity

What we are contending for, for the sake of those who have not yet made a decision for Christ, is the responsibility of man to receive Him; as well as the promise of the Lord to not cast away any and all who will come to Him. That we do something to obtain salvation is clear in the following...

    The false gospel of grace

It's good except you have to click on it and go to another screen to see the scripture quoted; rather than just roll the mouse over it and be able to see the verse in question.
