It seems to me that the O.T. prophets carried mostly warnings so, not welcomed with honor, especially in their own home towns and families. They were always condemning the spiritual state of Israel...and we all know how the truth can sometimes hurt.

Sorry for jumping in here GG...just want to say that I do believe our salvation is through faith alone, believing in His enormous grace. And, also, IMO- good works THROUGH His Spirit and to His Glory only--is a RESULT of our saving grace and our gratitude to Him. If we do any kind of works...
