Easter ? What are we celebrating?

I beg to differ. Easter, as it is celebrated towards acknowledging the resurrection, is for Christians. The kjv is the best translation out of them all by far. To the extent that where other translations differ from it, I hold it as authoritative and other translations as inferior.

Workers of the flesh will not inherit eternal life

Pro 24:16, For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

Trinity vs. Tritheism: Understanding the Trinity.

The primary example of a place in the New Testament where this occurs is in 1 Corinthians 8:6. Let us take a look at this, shall we? 1Co 8:6, But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him...

Trinity vs. Tritheism: Understanding the Trinity.

No, that is you. My understanding of the Trinity comes from many years of Bible reading with the doctrine of the Trinity on the backburner of my thinking As I said before, you speak evil of that which you do not understand. I do not say that God is crazy, I say that God became a Man. Not...

Easter ? What are we celebrating?

It refers to holding one day above another, or every day alike. The sabbath is not specified there.

    Calvinism is a Cult

Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. I offer the faith of Christians as the evidence that the Bible is a reality. If you think about it, Christians are an upside-down people when compared to the rest of the world. The fact that there are people who...

Trinity vs. Tritheism: Understanding the Trinity.

Still blind and deaf to my statement that I believe in the Trinity, I see. You are a Tritheist. I believe in one God. And yes, He is three distinct Persons in my view; even though they are the same Person (1 Corinthians 12:4-6). You speak evil of that which you don't understand (Jde 1:10...

Easter ? What are we celebrating?

Fully awake in the statement that I made; and if someone will accept it as the truth, perhaps they will be awakened spiritually....

Easter ? What are we celebrating?

To me, Passover isn't missing from the passage, even if you translate pascha as Easter. Why is it such a contention for so many people? it is the same time of year, maybe even the same day, that these two holidays occur. Is it not because the devil was defeated by the resurrection? Therefore...

Easter ? What are we celebrating?

The Bible in the kjv form is inerrant and inspired.

    Calvinism is a Cult

He lives! He lives! Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and He talks with me through life's dark, narrow way... He lives! He lives! Salvation to impart...You ask me how I know He lives...He lives within my heart. :):):) See Hebrews 11:1. My testimony (Geoffrey Primanti).

Easter ? What are we celebrating?

My point is that Easter is in the Bible if you hold the kjv to be a Bible. You can try to contend that it is translated wrong all you want...I believe that in the end you will find yourself in the same camp as the Mormons....who say that the Bible is true only insofar as it is correctly...

Easter ? What are we celebrating?

It is not a sin to celebrate Easter as resurrection Sunday. It may be a sin to celebrate the pagan aspects that have creeped into the holiday. If you celebrate the Christian aspect and forsake the pagan aspect, I don't see anything wrong with the holiday whatdoever. Also, for those who...

Trinity vs. Tritheism: Understanding the Trinity.

I don't know about you, @Dave L. but I believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, and that He is come in the flesh. I confess these things as being genuine aspects of my faith. So in what way am I antichrist, considering that the Greek word for and can be translated even in...

Easter ? What are we celebrating?

Not everyone celebrates those aspects of the holiday.

Workers of the flesh will not inherit eternal life

Is there really anyone who walks consistently according to the Spirit? Who behaves according to the flesh 0% of the time?

Easter ? What are we celebrating?

Rom 14:5, One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. I think that I am fully persuaded that Easter is a good holiday.

    Calvinism is a Cult

Ah yes, "Hopeful Monster" theory...the concept that a bird might lay an egg and that out might come a donkey. Job 11:12 (nkjv) For an empty-headed man will be wise, When a wild donkey's colt is born a man.

Trinity vs. Tritheism: Understanding the Trinity.

It is the same Person, who is distinctly two Persons; these distinct Persons being the same Person. The first is both the last and with the last.
