The Sweet and bitter little book of Revelation 10

The definition of “symbolism” is “the practice of representing things by means of symbols or of attributing symbolic meanings or significance to objects, events or relationships.” In my opinion, those who interpret scripture, especially prophetic scriptures emphasizing symbolism are off track...

Get Rapture Ready or will you be be left Behind?

This is SDA thinking from experience..."A little correction, Jesus did not come at Armageddon to take back his earthly Kingdom, that was given to Him when he returned after dealing with the judgement of the Kings of the earth at Armageddon at the end of their 2,300 years of trampling the...

Get Rapture Ready or will you be be left Behind?

Thanks for your input but I disagree with the SDA view on prophetic timing.

Could you explain that a little more please?

The Sweet and bitter little book of Revelation 10

Here are some more: Just adding more info. In my Strong's (H3117) some defs. are: age, everlasting, perpetually, season. G2250 - a period of time defined by context, age, always, forever, while, years. In most cases when it was referring to the present actual day or "today":, it would use G4594...

Replacement Theology thrown down in 1 verse?

Hi Naomi, Instead of going back and forth to your post, I'm just going to offer a narrative here. We are much closer than you realize in how we see things. I'm not your typical dispensationalist, I guess you could consider me a quasi-dispensationalist. What do I mean by that? It's all in how one...

Get Rapture Ready or will you be be left Behind?

I believe in the two part aspect of Christ's second coming (but not seven years between them) because we have two different pictures of His return. Acts 1 :9-11 - "And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10 And while...

The Sweet and bitter little book of Revelation 10

If that was the only definition given for the word "day" you would be right, however, it's not so we must be open to more than one consideration.

The Sweet and bitter little book of Revelation 10

Just throwing this out there, but I believe Peter is simply talking about how time is different in heaven, then here on earth. I don't think it's supposed to be a mandate on prophetic time periods.

Relationship Between Israel and the Church

I agree, the way they are now is evil.

Replacement Theology thrown down in 1 verse?

Hi Naomi, I would say this "remnant" are citizens of national Israel. Acts 2:5 - "And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven." Acts 2:41 - 3000 souls, Acts 4:4 - 5000 souls. We aren't told how long Peter preached before he had the vision concerning...

Replacement Theology thrown down in 1 verse?

I am complimenting you on your presentation of your point of view, I've been at this for over 25 years and you are right, most dispensationalists are inaccurate in their hysterical representation. I will get back to you on our scriptural differences after I do a little study on what you said...

Relationship Between Israel and the Church

It is who Israel will become not who they are now. Presently they should be considered an anti-Christ nation!

Relationship Between Israel and the Church

It most certainly is not!! The words, the "church is the wife of Christ" or "the church is the bride of Christ" is not mentioned anywhere in the bible. Though you are right, Eph. 5 would have been an excellent place to make that definitive statement. The fact that it does NOT, should speak...

Get Rapture Ready or will you be be left Behind?

Really dude!! The word "watch" simply means to be alert, vigilant, to be awake meaning not to be so overcome with the cares of this world that you ignore watching out for your soul. It also means to be aware of the signs that show us the latter days are near both general and specific and when we...

Replacement Theology thrown down in 1 verse?

Hi Naomi, This is the best representation of what replacement theory people believe that I've ever heard. I do, however, disagree but to your point above. Many Messianics consider themselves as "completed" Jews and I think that is an apt description.

The Sweet and bitter little book of Revelation 10

Hi Naomi, Actually, the word "day" can mean a long period of time in the bible. If one reads most of the prophecies regarding the "day" in both testaments it begins with the signs of the 6th seal, many them have obvious millennial age interpretations (like beating swords into plowshares, lion...

Get Rapture Ready or will you be be left Behind?

You're right but, imo, it's only a matter of knowing what trib He is talking about. Since there is no seven year trib mentioned in scripture, it's not at the end of the 70th week. Jesus does mention "great" tribulation which is something altogether different. I think Rev. 12:17 is a good picture...

Get Rapture Ready or will you be be left Behind?

I've answered several times, the fact is, in the bible there is no mention of a tribulation that is seven years long. If you want to continue, show me where it says, "And there will be a time of tribulation that shall last for seven years."
