    Progressive Christianity.

To follow on from another thread where Progressive Christianity is mentioned and I quoted "Progressive Christianity—is a contemporary religious movement that reinterprets traditional doctrines through modern science, historical-critical biblical scholarship, and an emphasis on social justice...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

I understand as it was what I experienced and the peace bit. I learned to just trrust Him and never lean on my own understanding ever again, which has been extremely necessary to avoid falling down a pit. The higher you climb the harder you fall. That is why it is so important to find those who...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Good post and I agree, indeed it is necessary that we reach a place where it seems no-one can help us and we are in utter confusion. It is only when we come out of it and have revelation, that we at last do see that what happened to us followed a pattern that others went through. And indeed we...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

@MostlyConfused wrote: How does that tie in to the book sealed until the end times, when knowledge will be increased? in reply to me: You claim that one can be saved without being in Christ. That is not scripture as the early church did not teach it. A very important question regarding the...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

But I do agree with you. To walk in the Spirit means we do not sin. Where the Spirit is, sin cannot dwell. But you want to burn me at the stake for saying that Christ is the way the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father but by Him? You are letting the enemy use your mouth.

Once again haven't a clue. I do not believe you can bypass Christ.

Haven't a clue what you mean. Are you agreeing or disagreeing?

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

As John Wesley rightly said, we are to draw people in not whip them in. The truth in love.

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

I was even in Calvinism when the Lord began to teach me and I began to doubt Calvin. He brought me to the end of myself and then Illuminated me - He gave me the Heavenly Vision that the disciples were given at Transfiguration. I searched the scriptures and found eternal life then sought out...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

I only found out about the early church teaching it years after. At first (and after it) I found it in evangelicalsim and the holiness movement.

You claim that one can be saved without being in Christ. That is not scripture as the early church did not teach it.

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Well it led me into the kingdom in which I lived for 18 months, then later for a few months. Now not.

Indeed we are to be taught by Him. But they found out that they were in agreement. Conformation that even Paul needed.

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

The day He put me face down in the dirt, was the most blessed day I even had and I will never move from it. We may all fall from our first love but we are in big trouble if we stay there. It is down in the dirt or die

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

There is no one who betrayed the Lord greater than me.

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Well I just have. We must compare this with what was taught in the early church. I do not mean the part (majority it seems) that had compromised with the state and were not walking in the 'higher walk' as epi puts it. I am talking about the spirituality that was taught then, by those...
