Yes, I think that since God always knows we just want to "please" Him, He continues to always maintain forgiveness (1Jn 1:9). It pleases Him to see us confess (admit) when we've sinned, and just continue to thank Him for His forgiveness.

Your not a Christian if you still sin willfully. Paul do not want to sin after he converted (Ro 7:15-20). Some people are mistaken, thinking Paul was not saved in Romans 7, or he was speaking about his life before rebirth. A sinner will not have a desire for God like he showed in Romans 7.
