Why was "Gehenna" changed to "Hell"?

That is correct Pat What do you mean all sir?
  2. Robert Gwin

Why was "Gehenna" changed to "Hell"?

No sir, like I said it is defined. How did God define the lake of fire? A key to understanding is found by reading Rev 20:14, do you see now what it means?

    Born again = Righteous

What do you mean by that Be? That looks like you are saying we cannot choose, is that correct? Did you mean to say that He accepts all those who choose to believe?

    Born again = Righteous

I am sorry but I don't see how those passages apply sir. What has salvation to do with born again Ezra? You and I both recognize that there are born again Christians, so there must be a reason why God anointed them sir.

Why was "Gehenna" changed to "Hell"?

Made me giggle for sure Pat

    Lake of fire

Very true Matt, the lake of fire was symbolic of gehenna, a permanent judgment, as the verse you posted, the second death.

    Work out your own salvation

    What is hell Joseph?
  8. Robert Gwin

Why was "Gehenna" changed to "Hell"?

No sir, it is actually defined at Rev 20:14 and 21:8 by God Pat. How did He inspire John to define it?
  9. Robert Gwin

    Born again = Righteous

    Great definition Joe.
  10. Robert Gwin

    Born again = Righteous

I think you defined it rather well Ezra.
  11. Robert Gwin

    Born again = Righteous

Yes sir, that is exactly correct, I would say you have a great grasp on it as all you said it true. Since you definitely know what it means, why are some chosen to be born again and reside in heaven?

    God and Israel

Time will tell, but I think Jesus was correct: (Matthew 21:43) . . .the Kingdom of God will be taken from you and be given to a nation producing its fruits. I realize that you may not understand that, but it is necessary to understand it to understand God's purpose for us sir.

Why was "Gehenna" changed to "Hell"?

Period Michiah. Although all of us go to hell when we die, I certainly do not want to receive the judgment of gehenna, first hand, in between, or last hand either sir.

Perhaps in this instance sir, but I assure you not everything I say is true, just the truth as I understand it subject to being in error just as anyone else. God's people have always been plagued with some among them being hypocrites.
  16. Robert Gwin

Having eternal life now vs. living eternally

Thou sayest Jesus is God, I say the God Jesus worshipped is God. There you have the distinction sir.

    Resurrrection and Thousand Years

I would imagine that the first resurrection would have to be complete prior to the the millennium, as they serve as Kings and Priests in that Kingdom. The resurrection of the earthly part of that Kingdom should start soon after it's establishment, logically anyway.

Where Do We Go When We Die

With the exception of anointed Christians who go to heaven instantly, everyone goes to the grave to await a resurrection.

They were the appointed leaders over God's people sir, but soon that would change. Welcome to the forum, I see you are new to it.
