Amen if that’s the case. I cannot relate. I came to the faith because of the Holy Bible alone. So I’m very defensive about it. I hate even the most slightest insult against it. And any promotion of the faith without it rubs me the wrong way.

That is another word which translates from Passover. It’s valid. It’s no error. The pedants fall into their own trap of strictness in translation.

Owning a bar would violate this advise: “Abstain from all appearance of evil.” (1 Thessalonians 5:22, KJV) Although I do find this bar owners action against the LGBTQ degenerates refreshing. And consumption of alcohol in moderation is not sin.

The scripture does say that. But we are also warned against willful sin as well. Instead of magnifying one scripture over another and becoming proud we should be humble and meek and keep both scriptures in mind in the fear of God.
