Bible Study: The Gospel is in the Torah

Having a healthy fear of the Lord can be our best friend when we're being tempted in any way. And fear of the Lord is predicated on faith remember, because we don't fear and revere who we don't believe in. We came to faith apart from works......and I would die on that hill brother. But as we...

Bible Study: The Gospel is in the Torah

Amen. Although simple doesn't always equate to easy, because we're in a battle and it's an upward call. But as we keep following, the Lord leads us to confront and illuminate to us the various obstacles and hindrances we have along the way, which we need to overcome.

Bible Study: The Gospel is in the Torah

Amen. As our faith grows we realize we can go directly to the Lord and look to Him, to teach us and illuminate His word.

Bible Study: The Gospel is in the Torah

Amen....the grace, mercy and favour of God only comes by FAITH, to those whom He foreknew, the same way it came to Abraham and other old testament saints.

Bible Study: The Gospel is in the Torah

Yes, grace is His enabling power that we did not earn or deserve.....as part of the same package of forgiveness and favor that we did not earn or deserve. I think you will see that if you do a word search of grace, and gracious/graciousness in the bible. It's one of my favourite ways to catch...

Bible Study: The Gospel is in the Torah

"Having" iniquity/sin is not the same thing as being a worker of it, ie of wilfully committing sin/iniquity. We all "have" sin/iniquity in our old man of the flesh, but that is not the same thing as committing it. And as for inadvertent types of sin and shortcomings, Paul wrote that if I do...

Bible Study: The Gospel is in the Torah

The bible says the new man is created after the image of He who created it. Is He who created our new man lacking anything? No, of course not. Then neither is our new man.....our new man is complete. But the new man is a spiritual man and the flesh/old man and spirit oppose one another...

Bible Study: The Gospel is in the Torah

It is IN us by faith. Or do you believe that our new man is not righteous, which the scripture says is created after the image of He who created it....?

Bible Study: The Gospel is in the Torah

Lovely prayer to pray, and song, amen. Agree that grace is enabling power, but also in another sense, it means to extend undeserved mercy/forgiveness/longsuffering in overlooking and bearing with a fault or offense......from where we get the word gracious/graciousness.

Bible Study: The Gospel is in the Torah

Who is born of God but the new man within us? Understanding I believe to have received from the Lord (through what someone said in a post just a few months ago)......is that the new man cannot sin because he is born of He who is without sin. But we still are contending with the old man of the...

Bible Study: The Gospel is in the Torah

I see his behaviour as being in the same vein as cult leaders, unfortunately.

Bible Study: The Gospel is in the Torah

Sadly I've come across folks like that....who are too advanced in their own eyes and proud for the very gospel which alone can save.

Bible Study: The Gospel is in the Torah

Yes, he never repents of anything unfortunately, that I can see. Some people can do no wrong in their own eyes apparently. But God PLEADS imploringly with His people to only acknowledge their wrong. Salvation depends on it, as well as Christian growth.

Bible Study: The Gospel is in the Torah

Yes, it's called mercy. Ever heard of it? Ever studied it out? It's a thing, and not a small thing. So much so that we had to be instructed not to abuse it by using it as a license to sin wilfully. Shouldn't you be preaching the GOSPEL Epi?

Bible Study: The Gospel is in the Torah

Amen. Walk in the spirit........grow up into the full stature of Christ.......since we have died to sin how can we walk in it any longer.....etc. I think Epi has some truth, but he sure doesn't teach in the same vein as the apostles and unfortunately has some serious error mixed in.

    Charlie Kirk assassinated in Utah

Yes....but we need to discern and separate between the holy and the profane/common, as scripture also says. The church is not the government. Our mandate as the church and followers of Jesus is not the same mandate God gives to governments. Church and state needs to be kept separate...

    Charlie Kirk assassinated in Utah

Anger is often part of the grieving process. If she knows the Lord she may grapple with it and feel differently after a while. Times like this, when there is darkness is the church's opportunity to rise up and be the church and let our light shine. Love our enemies, and forgive. Witness to...

    Charlie Kirk assassinated in Utah

If a murderer comes to Christ and repents of his evil deed, he is no longer a murderer.....the bible says, "for that is what some of you WERE", past tense. Coming to Christ makes one a new creation.

    Charlie Kirk assassinated in Utah

But always, God is ruling over it all, raising or lowering kings and kingdoms, either blessing or cursing nations who reap what they sow. He either protects from evil or gives a nation over to it, and degrees in between. The mind of man may plan his way, but it is the Lord who ultimately...

Update- Charlie Kirk's murderer- transgender connection

There is a simple way to avoid traps like that. Just remember that we are Christians..... the way Jesus and the apostles taught. Do not hate, do not judge/condemn, do not be entangled in civil affairs, consider ourselves as strangers passing through this world, our citizenship is in heaven...
