    Calvinism shares much with Medieval Catholicism. Total depravity, everlasting punishment, total original sin. Christ redeems people by supernatural magic, though it became less sacramental. And this is 'moderate' Calvinism.

    Actually, he offered a new and similar covenant. The old one was not undone, but priorities were made for the last days.

    No one was interested. The early church was rescued like Enoch, and the rest of Israel was slaughtered by Romans. Those were the last days.
