    Should I buy a sword?

Good but there you go again with the self hate. Teachers lives are not less important than the students they protect. Of course, I would not oppose it. What other persecution do you tacitly advocate for; race, sex, tribe? Not all with eye see. What is you aversion to the right to life, that...

    The Bible is an Idol???

Yes, it can be. Just because something can be an IDOL doesn't mean it is. It's the same with a weapon. I can use a hammer to drive nails or as a weapon. I've seen people use the Bible as an IDOL, reminding them that we are not saved by parchment.

    Should I buy a sword?

Not protection for self but others? The apparent self hate shown by some in this thread is appalling. Christ did not die just for others; he died for you. You are loved by God (not just others). The idea that anyone would tell another to be armed for reasons other than primarily self protection...

    Reason for The Crusades explained

Confusing behavior with paths. It is not cojones but foolishness to follow someone else’s path. The entire basis of WWJD applies his behavioral principles and spirit to new paths.

    Dumbing it down!

No one said they are in conflict. In harmony. Limited. It means the same thing in practice.

    Should I buy a sword?

I think it was @PS95 who talked about being a martyr for Christ and I referenced a young lady at Columbine who was given the choice deny Christ or die. I hope I have her courage. Having said that, I don't believe that is the crux of Christ's command to buy a sword but general defense of the...

    Should I buy a sword?

Perhaps even a third axis of rotation; do Christian’s have the right to defend themselves, generally, and not just specifically in response to persecution.

    Should I buy a sword?

That's because you have things backwards. The noun is war. We are in a state of war. What form it takes, what adjective you want to use (physical or spiritual) is secondary. Rest assured, war happens in all forms possible. The goal of war is death and destruction and the combatants are Good v...

    Should I buy a sword?

Because we have thoroughly feminized Jesus today, the question has to be answered in the context that Jesus is the ultimate example of masculinity other than God the Father. It’s highly masculine to submit to authority as Jesus did with his Father’s will be done. In this context, it’s hard to...

    Should I buy a sword?

I would say we have enough given where there is freedom, there is the spirit of the Lord. Freedom means being able to do all that is not prohibited. Slavery is doing only that which is explicitly allowed. Having a sword is not merely allowed but commanded. And the reason is obvious.

If sealed with the HS, how does one become UNsealed ?

Not an answer to my questionS. Plus this question has already been answered. @PeterAndroz, you're too obtuse for me. Make a Blessed Day.

Is it possible to lose salvation?

Never heard of a run away slave?

If sealed with the HS, how does one become UNsealed ?

Why not ask where does Christ through Paul teach this on a Tuesday on a full moon when the tide is out? Why be so open to consider only what Paul wrote? Jesus himself has much to say on the topic. Is Paul your lord and savior that you give his words more weight than Christ? With Paul's...

    Should I buy a sword?

I take it as a given that men not restrained will retreat from a whipping. This is an important portrayal of a masculine Jesus standing his ground using violence to force others to yield, who is our model to follow. Our demanding savior replaced with a fatally empathic IDOL, tolerating and...

Is it possible to lose salvation?

Then why are there so many verses to the contrary? Jesus talked about salt and branches being set afire or thrown out when they don't function as intended. That's us (losing our salvation) he's talking about! He also talked repeatedly about actually doing what God commands is what makes one...

    Should I buy a sword?

Self-preservation + selfishness. I recall he was a few weeks from retiring. Despite dereliction of duty leading to death. What do you make about the thread suicidal empathy?

"THE WORDS...ARE SPIRIT" version of understanding scripture.

Agh huh. What they mean is different what they are and their primary purpose. Literal, physical, fleshy, carnal fish given to nourish Christian’s bodies.

    Should I buy a sword?

Agreed. I believe anger is a tempting pathway to sin if not embraced with the fruit of the spirit. Before I came to Christ, I let anger control me. Like you said, there is righteous anger that can motivate us toward justice but can also tempt us to wrath, which is not righteous.

    Should I buy a sword?

You cannot believe we have a 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms but this lacks any practical application. Just because YOU haven’t seen self defense cases prevail, doesn’t mean there are no such cases. https://www.federalpremium.com/partners-in-protection/true-stories.html...

    Should I buy a sword?

Embrace exigency and discernment! Praying for an enemy takes time that the situation doesn’t always afford to use the sword as necessary. Both are true.
