If you're not walking in faith, and that's how you're living your life, just doing things your thoughts "accuse" you for doing (Ro 2), yes, you are condemned, and if you don't repent, you're going to be condemned to hell, because you're not remaining in God's justifying righteousness.

Did you have an answer for how the guy in Romans 14:23 is "condemned", whereas those "in Christ" have "no condemnation" (Ro 8:1)? I do : My answer is he is not abiding in Christ.

In other words, the guy who commits something he does not believe in is not in right standing with God--he is not justified. "Interestingly", justification is by the righteousness of faith... and this man did something he did not have faith to do, something that did not proceed from faith. The...

Yes, they can repent--I'm only demonstrating that faith is not solely something to be held but is also to be walked in.

The man who sins is, ipso facto, not clothed with God's justifying righteousness. How could God's justifying righteousness be sin? Only "doers of the Law" are justified (Ro 2:13), but we know that "the righteous requirement of the Law" is only "fulfilled in those who walk by the Spirit" (Ro...

If your life is characterized by doubt, you are not in faith, thus you do not have God's justifying righteousness, and you need to repent, or else, not having God's justifying righteousness, you are, according to Romans 14:23, "condemned" for "sin". What is YOUR response to Romans 14:23? How is...

If a person's life is not characterized by walking in faith/"fully persuaded in his own mind" (each person differs), he is condemned, because God's justifying righteousness is revealed from faith to faith (Ro 1:17).

Yeah, and? He is intentionally setting forth the paradigm that sin is the breaking of the law of our mind, and now we are free to walk in agreement with the law of our mind, our convictions, and if we don't we are condemned for sin (Ro 14:23).

If we deny Him, He will deny us--yes, He will say "I never knew you". If we are faithless, He remains faithful--yes, He forgives our sins. Answer Romans 14:23. How is the man "condemned" because he didn't WALK in faith?

Yeah, because the Roman govt had ousted the Jews from Rome--and this included Jewish believers--and, returning to Rome, they were finding Gentiles filling their church, so there was an issue that they kept more Law-based practices, as it was their conviction, but Gentiles did not. Peter is used...

Peter came from a Torah background, so, yes, for him, he was bound to that conviction, and he walked by it--however, after a while, God intervened, and introduced greater truth to him, and he understood he was free from that. Paul says the Jew doesn't need to become Gentile, nor the Gentile a...

Hebrews 10:38,39 says nothing but what Romans 14:23 says : if you do things that you doubt are correct, not things you are fully persuaded are correct, you are condemned, because God's [justifying] righteousness is revealed from faith to faith (Ro 1:17), steps of faith (Ro 4:12). In your book...

This is where I contend you are only partially correct : the man who believed the Gospel. and was justified by God's righteousness by grace through faith, but does not ALSO WALK in faith is not justified but "condemned" (Ro 14:5, 23) because God is not his righteousness because he isn't in faith.

Not so--Paul was still having to overcome boasting after he was saved, because he continued in walking before/relationship with Christ by faith, and Christ sent a messenger of satan to buffet his body to prevent Paul from boasting. Boasting isn't done away with by "faith alone". Holiness is a...

When you said we were justified by faith alone, I disagreed, saying it was only part of the truth, so I incorporated that idea that faith was always intended to be understood as something that needed to be walked in not only held.

Irrespectively, the Bible truth must have Bible answer because we bring our suppositions to bear on Scripture--but Scripture must inform and correct us, because Scripture interprets Scripture, and we aren't Scriptural enough at first to understand Scripture.

No, I said "IF" it is not also the case you are misled, it's bad enough that you are potentially misleading others. I never said we were under the Law. The Law produces a righteousness of our own. We are under Grace. Grace is God's righteousness at work in us to will and do. Grace produces...
