Everybody interprets the bible. Most people follow human traditions and put their trust in men. Some (a few) go to God and are shown the way. But these will sound a lot like the ones who are mere religious speculators. But everybody interprets...most incorrectly and a few correctly.

It is bad practice, and therefore ill-advised, to take one verse and make it cancel out all the others. In the above verse the translation has the article "the" in front of both resurrections...as if these were definite. But in Greek these are absent and better described as "a" resurrection...
