Gosh, I wonder who started these threads?

Just because I may be the one to start a thread, trust me, I do not then feel it is "my thread" and that I own it, or something. I happen to love it when a thread develops a life of its own. I personally think trying to force people to talk only about the OP is foolishness.

Gosh, I wonder who started these threads?

Sadly, sometimes the evasion may be ignoring a troll who, in essence, asks a question reminiscent to "Have you quit beating your wife?"

Surviving Roman Catholic Heresies in Protestantism

…..continued...……. Another Father counselled, 25 “That after performing the office of humanity to the dead in their burial, we should leave them at rest.” These limits they burst through when they keep up a perpetual anxiety about the dead. It is a Father who testifies, 26 “That the substance...

Surviving Roman Catholic Heresies in Protestantism

Catholics Ignore “The Ancient Fathers” From John Calvin’s The Institutes of Christian Religion It is a calumny (The making of false and defamatory statements about someone in order to damage their reputation; slander WTE ) to represent us as opposed to the Fathers (I mean the ancient writers...

And they claim they acknowledge no God.....

I don't like Calvin's theology, but no one can deny he was a brilliant scholar of the Bible. "That there exists in the human minds and indeed by natural instinct, some sense of Deity, we hold to be beyond dispute, since God himself, to prevent any man from pretending ignorance, has endued all...

    Kanye West turns to Jesus.

Well, quite a few have... and many have failed to stay the course. Unfortunately, they face more resistance and temptation than most of us can even imagine. They need our prayers more than we hope for their influence. Yet it often seems to be a spectacle of glee for many of us if they fail...

Surviving Roman Catholic Heresies in Protestantism

Traditions??? I have a 4-page excerpt from Calvin showing the many, many times The Catholic Church totally ignored or overrode the traditions the Ancient Church Fathers laid down. It is really a hoot! They swear their church is based on Traditions, and then just blow them off, right and left.

Why do so many Christians vehemently disagree?

Having spent my childhood reading no other Bible but The KJV has been a boon to me in one respect. It would be almost impossible for me to fluently and smoothly read and easily understand Old English (Elizabethan-style writing) such as the original writings of John Calvin, if it were not for...

Why do so many Christians vehemently disagree?

I think we all already figured that out, and Oz probably really didn't mean anything derogatory by mentioning it. Humor is sometime difficult to convey in a post.

    Kanye West turns to Jesus.

The human child God used at Christ's birth was undoubtedly a good person. One to be respected, but never worshiped.

When is it right for Christians to take a stand against evil?

    Our church didn't start these revivals, but if you contact our preacher, I am sure he can put you on the right track for doing it yourself. [email protected] <[email protected]>;

    Kanye West turns to Jesus.

Yeah, that was Acts 4:12 , wasn't it.... ? "There are only two names under heaven by which we may be saved." (Hummmm…. Somehow that doesn't sound quite right.....)

When is it right for Christians to take a stand against evil?

Without FaceBook, we might have had 35 kids at our Fall-O-Ween. Jesus walked to where the people who needed Him were, and we need to implement the communication mediums the people who need Jesus use. I don't like FB either..... and I also don't get a thrill of going door-to-door in the ghettos...

When is it right for Christians to take a stand against evil?

We also had not seen many in a lot of years...….. So, we made it happen again in St. Petersburg. Things done for God don't "just happen" as we sit and wait for someone else to do them.

Does your vote in 2020 really matter- most likely not

There's a good chance the Dems will have a last-minute new entry candidate. One nobody will have enough time to find out anything about except that they will promise all sorts of free stuff.

When is it right for Christians to take a stand against evil?

Last month, we just finished seven straight nights of revival in eight separate locations around St. Petersburg where we set up eight different tents and staffed them with members from 43 different local churches. That's 56 nights of preaching and feeding crowds of hundreds in one week...

Does your vote in 2020 really matter- most likely not

Only problem with this prediction is that Biden won't be the nominee.

    Kanye West turns to Jesus.

Well, I had hoped...………………. But I guess when your constant searching for something "evil" gives you Illuminati Fever, it is hard to shake, and you imagine it everywhere. Let us thank God for whatever Kanye is experiencing, and pray for him to hold out. Lord knows very few of us could stand up...

Gosh, I wonder who started these threads?

I guess I do have a tendency to forget that not everyone lives most days to expect the unexpected. It's not as challenging as being a street cop, but close.
