Queen Elizabeth II dies at 96

This effigy lasted a long time, didn't it? The Queen stayed young on the coins for decades.

Poll: Tattoo artist: if a Christian daughter/son of yours worked as one, would you be supportive?

@Mantis Yes, and although it's not strictly necessary at all it can be very widely regarded as something that simply makes people quietly more confident and distinguished. I saw these comments: FHII said: ↑

I think they were minted but not sure they had much of a chance to circulate them because he was out before the end of the year in 1936.

@Pearl Yes, it is supposed to alternate, left or right on coins, from one monarch to another. (I think I read that Edward VIII wanted his face to be facing in the same direction as King George V, so they obliged....but then he didn't last very long as monarch, right?)

@Rita Yes, more or less, indeed. In the UK, ppl generally avoid criticizing the monarch. Just as in the US it's customary not to criticize the flag. The monarch in the UK and the flag in the US are each seen more as the guarantor of almost everything else.

Queen Elizabeth II dies at 96

Oh yes, very true. What I was referring to was that in the US the people expect the President to have a lot of political opinions and fight for them and then the President will be either reelected or not, as the case may be. Whereas to Americans the Stars and Stripes are a constant symbol.

@Ronald Nolette FYI.........did you see the recent poll, above?

The founding fathers of modern-day Premillennialism were heretics.

@Ronald Nolette A strong argument in my simple mind is that in 1 Cor. 11.26 the Lord's coming - in the passage about the Lord's Supper - clearly links with the church.

@Michiah-Imla Thank-you. It's interesting that some ppl get into tattooing work because it simply fits their economic circumstances. I saw this quote: James McCarthy, Mirror dot co dot uk

    Avoiding Materialism

@Nancy Yes; a bit of ear studding can be quite benign (even for a guy).
