No no no...I worked for others for decades. It's just that now I have gotten accustomed to working for myself. Working for others usually has great benefits and some sense of job stability...my boss keeps hollering at me threatening to fire me all the time these days.

Five and dime stores started getting fairly junky...now replaced by dollar general and family dollar stores. But there were several years that there wasn't anything like that at all...

Go to a Chinese grocery store. They will carry a butane powered stove eye. Hairspray sized cans filled with butane work great...used to use them all the time...and no need to go outside to use them. No carbon monoxide whatsoever from that fuel. A can lasts about two to three hours.

In California there was a place called Gemco. Safeway was the grocery store of choice that got replaced with Albertsons.

Fried bread would be better...they are wonderful with honey and butter. Not donuts... just a flattered piece of lean bread dough and fried to a golden brown. I gotta have my bread.

Dough consistency can vary depending upon the type of bread I'm making... I've made some that are just a bit thicker than a batter...a sponge if you know what that is that needs the bench time to thicken up enough to form. And then there's others that can be somewhat stiff...they still work...

People use their own feelings to calculate risk. Children are the absolute worst at this because of their lack of experience. Adults are horrible as well because they often believe that they can overcome a cold but can't overcome a manufactured danger that they don't understand. All...

Contentment with Godliness is great gain... Just saying that right out of the gate. However... Some high gluten bread flour would be nice. (So I can make better chewy breads for a change) Then maybe a new car for the wifey... she would like that. Then a nice Birthday party in the park...

I'm thinking about making a heart shaped orange marmalade cake with some tempered chocolate butterflies on top to celebrate. My wifey and son might enjoy all of that.
