But these verses do not speak to salvation, and that is what the I in tulip addresses solely. A believer can resist the will of God and suffer the consequences of sin for their resisitance, but they are still saved. Well as I am tqalking TULIP, I cannot answer to your sweeping condmenation...

In those exacts words? NO! but the concept as spelled out in Tulip, yes. Total depravity does not mean a person is as bad as they can be. It means an unsaved person is as bad off as they can be. Irresistible grace- Jesus clearly showed that in JOhn 6. So you are saying mans will in...

Verse 8- If seeking God is something that pleases Him, unsaved man cannot do it! In the above verse? Nowhere! In other passages of Scripture- yes, God changes hearts as He wills.

    - "Doctrine of Devils". = Hyper-Calvinism -The "5 points"

And this coming from a four point Calvinist! Makes you an 80% devil.

Does the trinity make people right with God?

Well it is rejecting who the one true God is! Jesus is just as much God as HIs Father, and the Holy Spirit is just as much God as the Father and son. so, to deny that either or both the Son and Spirit are not God are to reject who God is. It would be the same for exam[ple, if you were married...

Well I am just reporting what JOhn said. He said he wrote those things os people would know they had eternal life.

    - "Doctrine of Devils". = Hyper-Calvinism -The "5 points"

And all this vitriol and acerbic vile condemnation coming from a person who by definition is a four point Calvinist! I guess that makes you only an 80% demonic patsy. :jest: :jest: :jest: :jest: :jest: :jest: :jest: :jest: :jest:

Does the trinity make people right with God?

To reject teh trinity is to reject who God is and thus you are in essence worshipping a false god. If Jesus is not god, He could not be a savior.

    Why trust the "Early Fathers?"

We are trust them as they are coorect according to Scripture. We must be like teh Bereans, read their words and then compare them to SCripture, just like we do with modern preachers and teachers.

Romans 8:5-8 King James Version 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against...

Well you were given some bad teaching. The apostle John wrote "These things are written that you may know you have eternal life". If you trust Jesus death and resurrection as the full payment for your sin debt, then you are saved. Doubts and fears can and will arise, but these are attacks...

Well pondering all the what ifs that Scripture doesn't reveal is an exercise in futility. Let me quote Jesus: 25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and...

The problem I see is you are overreaching! No one here (but you) is talking about reformed theology, but merely what are called the five points or TULIP. True they are part of reformed theology but just a part. As for Piper-- well Scripture does say that god holds all things by the Word of...

Can you please show me from Scripture where being blunt and direct is not Christian? Seems to me Jesus was the master of bluntness and directness. He told Peter to get behind him satan! So you prefer the softer touch and have people in stead of getting to the heart of the matter, merely nibble...

Why? If god says something will or will not be done, fretting about the implications does little to advance our relationship with god. If god wanted us to know all the implications, He would have put them in Scripture.

In the world of the unsaved, there is no free will to choose God in the fallen nature. TULIP merely codifies and systematize that biblical point. Every human was born an object of wrath as Eph.2 explicitly says. All must be born again or receive the result of their fallen human nature- the...

    When are God's Elect Justified?

So: 32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. Using your "vision", drawing is the fruit and effect of reeneration. Jesus "draws" all men to Himself. so you believe in universalism. The Father may not draw all men, but Jesus does. Sorry but you can't have it...

So be it. I have never been angry or vindictive with you. I have been very blunt and direct! When I see someone adopting evasive ways, I will call them on it. I know this is very offensive to some, but I prefer to be blunt and straightforward and not beat around the bush. Wates too much...

I agree, those who teach God presetines everything and we are just automatons is hyper Calvinism and AFAIK is only accepted by a very small minority of Calvinists. God allows evil! He allowed :Lucifer to rebel and uses it to bring glory t Himself in ways above my pay grade. He allows evil to...

    When are God's Elect Justified?

You obviously do not understand. The word "helko" means to physically drag, period. That is its literal meaning. When it is used other than physically dragging it is a metaphiracl use of the word, that does not mean the passage is a metaphor. C'mon this is basic stuff you should know.
