    Organised Religion

Every believer has the opportunity to hold out for what Jesus is building. We can be joined with others (where 2 or 3 are gathered) in a way that reaches out to God...waiting for Him and His direction, inspiration and power. What we see on the day of Pentecost...a revival...is what each of us...

    The Holy Sacrament is Spiritual

Actually, when we abide in Jesus we HAVE eternal life already. To abide in Jesus means we are walking in HIS resurrection life and power.

    The Holy Sacrament is Spiritual

If the flesh profits nothing then eating the flesh and drinking the blood of the Son of Man is NOT physical...but spiritual. What is eating His flesh? -----Obeying the commandments of Jesus...DOING what Jesus said to do. Turning the other cheek, loving our enemies...etc. Living by His WORDS...

What Is Romans 8 Telling Us ???

Right now, everything is muddled up. What is presently popular is not good, and what seems to be unpopular is actually good. So then the first will be last and last first. Do we know who are actually walking in the truth? Not really. Not everything is at is seems. But a time is soon coming...

What does it mean to be born again?

I am putting back in what people are leaving out. Not pessimistic...but realistic. Not idealistic...but balanced. How hard is it to retain humility and the fear of the Lord? What about wisdom? Do you feel threatened by the warnings that are clearly laid out in the bible? And this is not...

What does it mean to be born again?

Based on their hostility to the truth. As I do. This is not about theology...but about a religious flesh covering seeking to divert the meaning of the gospel onto itself. Been trying... OK. I try to....but people keep putting their foot in it. :) I can either allow the lies to...

What does it mean to be born again?

I'm trying to do that...but the resistance is very great.

What does it mean to be born again?

Any mention of the balance of goodness and severity of God brings out the old spirit of the Pharisee to murder the truth speaker. No surprise there.

What does it mean to be born again?

Religious pride alert. The fallen condition of mankind is that he is a slave to sin. So in your religious conceit Jesus could never say to Christian ministers who did many wonderful works in Jesus name..."Go away, I never knew you?" Those are the very words of Christ that you are denying in...

What does it mean to be born again?

It can be...and it can be much more than that. People can return to their vomit...they can become enemies of the cross...they can rebel like Korah...they can proclaim they are rich when in fact they are poor wretched naked and blind.

What does it mean to be born again?

One has to understand the scale of the truth. Before Paul had a real connection to God, he justified himself through the scriptures. When the truth was revealed to Him...he was able to put the scriptures into their proper context. His writings became his testimony of the truth IN power AND NOT...

What does it mean to be born again?

I think its irresponsible to the max to not encourage people to go to the cross to have the flesh dealt with...instead encouraging a belief that there is no need to do so. It is a question of truth and faith. Salvation is a process. There is a narrow door...but also a narrow way.

What does it mean to be born again?

Someone who walks in resurrection life doesn't look to justify their present walk by believing certain verses are true for all who believe. Paul warns people to fear and bear the right fruit...or else rejection occurs. That never happens to those who are ideologically indoctrinated. It's the...

What does it mean to be born again?

This is idealized. Paul wrote what happened to him. BUT very few are like Paul. All you have to do is read his warnngs about being cut off....like the Israelites to realize Paul is not trying to form a delusional religious formula for succeess for whoever names and claims it. You have to see...

What does it mean to be born again?

Having personally experienced up to Romans 8, I can say that the layout of Paul shows us that we shouldn't be stopping and justifying ourselves based on Romans 6. What do you say?
  17. Episkopos

What does it mean to be born again?

Yes, yes, how we can get so stuck in Romans 6 that we neglect moving on through Romans 7 into Romans 8 where the victory lies. The point is not to get selective about the passages that we think justify our present condition.

What does it mean to be born again?

OK..and yet in post #1857 you quoted this... Philippians 3:4-11 KJV 4) Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more: 5) Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew...

What does it mean to be born again?

Everybody, including hypocrites agrees with wordings. What is lacking in Romans 6 is the power to walk as Jesus walked. That is reserved for Romans 8. Do you agree with the "wordings" of the whole bible? or just Romans 6?

What does it mean to be born again?

Are you claiming to walk without sin? See what others here make of that. I see by your attitude that you walk by the power of the flesh...or...constant sin. Only on one level The sin of the hypocrite is against God's holiness. And that kind of sin is worse than carnal sins. So then do you see...
