Police state USA: SWAT raid, puppy killed, for unpaid utility bill

You don't even have to open that second-rate site to know this is a load of bull, SG, you are such a sucker for that hype.

    Suffering

And, the adverse: Many, many Christians swear suffering is a sign of righteous, wearing it like a badge of Holy honor. One good example posts right here on this forum.

    Two particular problems with dispensationalism...

Scrap the mistaken way we have often decided they have to be interpreted, YES! THAT is our biggest problem — NOT what the Bible says, but rather, the contorted ways we have twisted the intended meanings of those Scriptures.

    What makes you right?

I posted it earlier. Frankly, it does not matter if we are "right" or wrong. If God accepts what we believe, that is all that matters. Probably, not a single one of us has it "right." If total correctness were possible and required of us, Jesus would never have come.

Is Dispensationalism a valid way to interpret scripture?

So you continue to walk a tightrope over Hell, fearing moment-by-moment damnation if there is something you forget to "repent" of each minute? Kind of a sad way to live. I know... I was taught the same thing back in my CoC days.

Is Dispensationalism a valid way to interpret scripture?

Then, if you sin after once repenting (and I assume that you, like everyone else on Earth, has sinned again) then none of us — as you just put it — were ever "truly" repentant?

    What makes you right?

Why would you assume that because you happen to think you are "right", everyone else has to be wrong?

Is Dispensationalism a valid way to interpret scripture?

Actually, I think it is a rude thing to keep asking God to forgive you when He already said that you are forgiven for all time... for sins both past and present. Certainly, express your sorrow and disappointment in repeated failures. But, don't insult Him by sounding like you didn't really...

I think that is exactly what he meant.

Can one be saved while they are all alone?

Does a baby agree to be born? I think each of us asked very specifically to become a part of God's kingdom. Are you saying you will become a Christian, whether you want to, or not?

Is Dispensationalism a valid way to interpret scripture?

I think God just might be insulted at the way we have put restraints and limitations on the work He gave us to do. All Christians admit that God's principles can be used to reform the individual. They also understand that if this is the case, then the family can be reformed according to God's...

    Two particular problems with dispensationalism...

So silly. How could the Apostles write that the antichrist was among them (In fact they said, "many of them" were there then.) if you are still waiting for this "mystery man" to appear?

Good grief! Let's not go crazy in the opposite direction. LOL (I'm just an old man on his way to Heaven.)

    What makes you right?

You know you are "right" when your beliefs give you the peace of God that passes all understanding. If you feel you have to strive with other people about what you believe... instead of simply stating it — there just might be something wrong.

Is Dispensationalism a valid way to interpret scripture?

What Moses brought down from Mt. Sinai were not the Ten Suggestions. They are commandments. ARE, not were. The sheer brilliance of the Ten Commandments is that they codify, in a handful of words, acceptable human behavior, not just for then or now, but for all time. Language evolves. Power...

    Two particular problems with dispensationalism...

These are your exact words: "What is literal is literal, and what is metaphoric is metaphoric. But no one has the right or the authority to create fantasies by spiritualizing away the Scriptures." Are you now going to say that when the Bible DOES NOT say something is "The Antichrist", we can...

I wanna know why I am being considered "silly."

Now, all you have to do is decide whether you are going to align your obedience with 3, 7, 8, 9 or 37 different ways of being spoken to. LOL
