Is observation of the Sabbath day a requirement for Christians?

...but the law was changed. (Hebrews 7.12) What we now have is better than the law (Hebrews 7.19). Going back to the types and shadows now, in the face of the fulness of revelation in Christ in the NT is unthinkable. The Resurrection is a glorious fulfillment of the feast of first fruits in...

In-depth Bible Study on Eternal Punishment

The simple and basic verse John 3.16 contains a warning about perishing; we do well to take heed.

Is observation of the Sabbath day a requirement for Christians?

@Cassandra In any case, the believer now focuses on the Resurrection, which occurred on the first day of the week (1 Corinthians 15.57). :)

For Those Who Deny Jesus Christ IS Almighty God

Non sequitur. Father, Son and Holy Spirit are deeply present in Scripture. End of Matthew 28. John's Gospel, throughout. Romans 8. John's First Epistle. The overwhelming Scriptural evidence is there. (I am now going to use a little button.)

    The Spirit of Grief

Hi @Misty Williams I think of Isaiah 48.10: "I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction". The point being, not to evade the furnace of affliction at all costs, but to know that we are chosen, even in the midst of it.

For Those Who Deny Jesus Christ IS Almighty God

The Bible is full of God in Three Persons.

    Questions For JW's

Yes, I take your point about manner; but as for doctrine, it's not the Word of God itself that is the final authority among the LDS....this soon become apparent.

    The Problem with Salvation

1 Corinthians 15.19: "If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable." We truly can know, and others need to know also.........

    The Problem with Salvation

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@Mantis From your comment about Mrs. Mantis, it used to be such a man thing (and still is) but I read someplace that now in North America 55%-70% or more of tattoo artists' clients are women. You as a former (and future?) tattoo artist might recall a similar proportion among your clients. Seems...

1 Cosmetic you just can't live without

Hi @VictoryinJesus My wife says she doesn't feel dressed if she goes out of the house without putting on her face. You'll enjoy this: I went to a gift store and chose what I thought was a make up bag for her; but the lady in the store said it was for a man (toothbrush, paste, etc...) So she...

1 Cosmetic you just can't live without

@Pearl An oriental character; it should have been faith based; it wasn't, and it faded. Better idea when young ppl do faith based ones such as Bible verses or refs.

I’m in a strange place: very conservative, but not Christian

@Mantis Reminds me of Romans 8, which says that the Holy Spirit indwelling believers causes them to cry, Abba, Father.........

    Questions For JW's

@Pearl Same with the Mormons. You get smart young men in suits and neckties who seem keen to talk about the Scriptures...........and then there is a slant there which really isn't from the Word of God at all, and evidently "Elder G. Kevin Smith" (aged 19) seems not to know so much about the...
