    Spiritual Warfare

I see both sides of this warfare. I have had personal experience dealing with it. I feel both you and Whitestone have valid points. Read II Cor 10 1 - 6 This explains clearly what Whitestone is speaking of. What you post rjp has plenty of biblical backing also. I, as a young fool, opened...

    When was the last time....

A closed mind is like a closed parachute. I like what you say here "I try to keep an open mind and listen to everyone's argument, receive what they say and compare it to Scripture."

People wake up - NWO isn't wasting time!

All things that happen pass through the hands of God. Let us not worry of the evil of tomorrow, or worry at all. Take heed of scriptures as they are written.

    Demons/evil Spirits

I believe they exist. Clearly scripture speaks of them. If you ask me the four times Jesus encountered them is a lot. Besides, as we know we don't have an exact day by day description so we don't really know how many he casted out.

    Closed communion

I understand your concerns. Thank you for your honesty. I believe Paul's issue was with the way the Eucharist was presented at that church. The way the church presents it now is worlds better. Many do not understand the reverence that should be adopted when receiving.

Why Woul a Loving God Create Such a Hateful Place?

On the subject of Job: Job 2 : 3 (KJV) And the Lord said to Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movest me against...

    Closed communion

You see when we go up to recieve, the eucharist, regardless of what we believe about it, we are entering a very special, close communion with God. If we come forward in penitance and faith, with the udnerstanding that what we are doing is obeying Christ's command ten we will recieve God's...

    Closed communion

I think we are speaking of a open or closed communion not a "pressured" or forced communion. I completely agree, works are the fruit of our faith. They are tied together, but as John 6 : 44 No man can come to me, except the Father which sent me draw him: I will raise him up at the last day.

Aspen for president. I love your reply.

    Closed communion

Well, I am not sure how you interpret "this is my Body broken for you; this is my blood poured out for you" as anything other than the Real Presence. The fact is, to claim otherwise is to deny scripture, the beliefs of the Early Church, the Church Fathers, early theologians like Augustine, 1500...

    Closed communion

John 6 : 35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. John 6 : 51 I am the living bread which came from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever: and the bread that I give is my...

    Closed communion

Never in scripture does it say we need to take the eucharist to receive God's blessings or the Holy Spirit. Upon our faith the Holy Spirt is deposited into our bodies (temples). That deposit is given to us from Jesus Christ not some man in robes. No man can give us God's blessings either, we...

Why Woul a Loving God Create Such a Hateful Place?

Truth, Sorry for the delay in posting. First of all I will say not every time the word Satan is used it is referring to a supernatural being. You are correct there. In the same sense most times it is referenced I would say it is. Relying on translations does not help (as for myself I do...

    Closed communion

Christ gave of himself freely for all of humanity. How could one get hurt by partaking in communion? I see no reason other than an attempt to create envy to close a communion. Christianity would fair best by listening to its teachers 1 Cor 1 : 10 If we are zealous for anything let us be...

Why Woul a Loving God Create Such a Hateful Place?

It is setting the word of God against itself to say that the devil is a being which forces us to sin and be unrighteous, whilst at the same time he supposedly brings problems into our lives which lead to our developing "the peaceable fruit of righteousness". I am not saying the devil "forces"...

How Can Christians Be So Quick To Shut You Out?

I admire your honesty. With me I would say ask away. My skin is thick and I do not get offended easily. Please understand not all of us Christians will fit into the realm of intolerance. I would hope you do find more tolerance in the Christian community than anywhere else. Not all whom...

Why Woul a Loving God Create Such a Hateful Place?

Jesus gave us that prayer after Satan and his followers were cast out from Heaven. God's will is being followed in Heaven. God allowed the evil upon Job that Satan asked if he could bring about, in other words it was Satan's idea clearly evident in Job 1 10 - 11. Who is God having this...

Why Woul a Loving God Create Such a Hateful Place?

Gen 3 : 22 -23 "And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know of good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from...

Why Woul a Loving God Create Such a Hateful Place?

To answer to your questions in Job. You may have to open two windows to read your questions as I did not take the time to rewrite them. Scripture is sufficient as to all we need to know. You are asking why God does what he does. What leads you to believe their conference is in Heaven...

Why Woul a Loving God Create Such a Hateful Place?

I think you put this one to rest here Joshua David. Not to mention the demon possessed man story with Jesus casting "Legion" into the swine.
