@Ronald Nolette "It is finished" (John 19.30) is indeed so highly significant. Fits in with Hebrews chapters 9 and 10 which speak of the one offering at the Cross.

@SERVANTedu So are you able to read the Bible and pray together? (Sometimes issues of divorce/remarriage intervene also; but this may not be relevant in your case.)

@Taken Yes, they can serve to provide a lead-in to conversations with ppl. (Which is probably the exact reason why all the young ppl with Bible verses tattooed with whom I have spoken have gotten their faith based inkings in the first place.....)

@Taken The Lord Jesus promised His followers tribulation in the world but also assured them that He had overcome the world; John 16.33.

@marks It's very interesting that Hebrews 7.12 says that the law was changed; and Hebrews 7.19 says what we now have is "better" (a keyword in Hebrews) than the law.

@Ronald Nolette Oh I agree very strongly! Yes, indeed. What I think was going through my mind was that if at 16 or 17 parents keep on saying "No! No! No! No!" to something like a faith based tattoo, then when the big 18 comes round, and they leave home, etc., all those "No! No! No! No!" are...

The Apostles are all dead. What we have in the New Testament is the Apostolic faith 'once delivered to the saints' (Jude).

@Heart2Soul I think these days a lot of ppl simply regard tattoos in a very matter of fact way, in any case.... (All the young ppl with Bible verses tattooed whom I've spoken seem to have received them as witness tools, anyway.)
