    Reason for The Crusades explained

Odd play coming from the guy who said violence is violence. You're all over the place. Obviously, you don't even want to debate the moral justification for the Crusades but condemn it. Yet, you cannot express what your primary opposition is to it.

    Reason for The Crusades explained

Yes, the important lesson is the sword was for their protection not his.

    Reason for The Crusades explained

Friend, the early Christians - the Crusaders - have a lesson for us all. You just refuse to learn the lesson.

    Reason for The Crusades explained

Didn't say it was. It's the soulful use of violence that is necessary and not sinful. You see, the overly-spiritualized have such contempt for all things worldly, carnal and fleshy that they automatically equate it with sinful. This perversion flies in the face of the many Scripture verses I...

    Reason for The Crusades explained

Obviously. We are agreed; Jesus told them to purchase swords to be prepared to use them for their intended use. Wrong. Being overly spiritualized is what's dangerous.

    Reason for The Crusades explained

What a pacifist rationalization. Not wanting violence and violence being upon you are not the same thing! As a pastor once said, nothing in Scripture should be interpreted to mean that you should be a victim. Nobody wants to to put their beloved dog down. It's a soulful behavior that is not...

    Reason for The Crusades explained

Never claimed to be the final judge. Doesn't change the fact that I am a judge.1 Corinthians 6:3 3 Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life!

    Reason for The Crusades explained

What is this; another Non-sequitor. The point is Christ's return will immediately be followed by him slaughtering his enemies. Waiting or not waiting for him is irrelevant. I suppose you want to suggest that only God can act for the cause of justice. This is anti-Scriptural. This is...

    Reason for The Crusades explained

Oh my! How dare a Christian educate a non-Christian on the teachings of Christ that the non-Christian doesn't agree with! Let's get the moderator's to put an end to this. What I wrote is true and you have no response to the idea that Christ did not advocate buying things to collect dust. One...

    Reason for The Crusades explained

Because the teaching is true. You just can't get over the fact of some of Jesus teachings that go against your over-spiritualized world view. He commanded us to buy a sword and it was not because he advocated acquiring dust collectors. The Crusaders knew this to be true.

    Reason for The Crusades explained

Wrong. Have you not read the first thing the Messiah will do upon his return is to slaughter his enemies?

    Reason for The Crusades explained

Are you familiar with logical fallacies? There is one called Strawman. Invoking the Nazi's is a common form of Strawman. Hence, Goodwin's Law. It shows you've lost the argument. I follow Jesus' commands, which include giving to Caesar what is Caesar's and buying a sword. Somehow that makes me...

When the Messiah comes, will he perform more signs than this man?

These wouldn't be mundane, otherwise. It's only natural. Do you have to ask? Normally, people with means are able to execute a plan.

    Reason for The Crusades explained

I do recall learning not that long ago that tobacco helps with wounds.

    Reason for The Crusades explained

No. No definition. But a description. Overly spiritualized is when there is an unbalance of attention to the spirit over the soulful needs. For instance, Jesus said to give to Caesar what is Caesars. One who is overly spiritualized disregards - or treats as contemptuously corrupt - the part...

    Reason for The Crusades explained

LOL. I am putting Christ's commands INTO context to justify soulful behavior. Christ said give to Caesar what is Caesar's. The overly spiritualized somehow read a "DO NOT UNLESS" into it.

    Don't go Donut's (Updated)

More donuts, less misery? Less donuts, more efficiency. In the film Life Is Beautiful, the protagonists uncle wryly commented, “Nothing is more important than the frivolous.”

    Trump has abandoned America First

Is this your only complaint about Trump? In his first term, I estimate his batting average to be .997. Contrast that to Biden's .017 and Obama's .008. In this term, I recognize only one gaff by his Administration. Bondi said she had the Epstein file on her desk and then backpedaled. Regarding...

"My doctrinal opinion is true; you're doctrinal opinion is false." - Got it?

KJVO-ism kept me from Christ for 2 decades.
