Christians and Jews are both anti Acts 2:38.

Because the Godhead is broken down in Matthew 28:19 and is more specific. Do you believe it is evil to do that?

Not sinning means you obey. Obey and be baptized if you haven't been at all.

I can obey the Father to believe in the name of His Son can't I. Don't you? 1 John 3:23

    Please present your thoughts

All TRUE believers receive the same Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:4-6 Reading the entire Bible in order to believe it all is a work. But faith does come by hearing and hearing by the word of God. To receive the Spirit you must by integrity of heart be honest with yourself that you are a helpless...

God is so much bigger than our understanding.

Great title, and so true! God is in control, so be anxious for nothing.

    True meanings of: God's wrath; Not knowing the day or the hour;

The wrath of God is NOT tribulation. The bowls of wrath come after the second coming. The Great Tribulation comes before and is for the cleansing of the Jews and the maturing of nominal Christians. (There is no pre-trib. secret rapture)

Christians and Jews are both anti Acts 2:38.

Just so you know, I wouldn't be baptized in just the name of the Father and the Spirit. It would have to include Jesus, the Son. But by including the Father and the Spirit that is the whole God. They are One. I think I may have misled you by saying I was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ as...

So you don't believe Matthew 28:19?

Christians and Jews are both anti Acts 2:38.

John the Baptist was already baptizing for the repentance of sins. All Acts 2:38 means is now baptize because of Jesus. But Mark 16 names all three, including Jesus. That is the proper way, but if some only wants to acknowledge Jesus and not the Father and the Spirit, I don't think the Father...

And @Truther Personally I do not see a disassociation between oneness and trinity. They do not conflict. One God is a triune being. I will not argue with anti-oneness, or anti-trinity people. I can be one with both. God is someone we see in a dark glass 1 Cor. 13. Not until we get to heaven...

Christians and Jews are both anti Acts 2:38.

I didn't know about the first one until I was in my forties. Mom had me sprinkled at at Presbyterian church and I found the certificate in my baby book she gave me. The following three were all by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ. The missing ingredient was true repentance and being...

Christians and Jews are both anti Acts 2:38.

Possibly. I've been baptized four times already. But the last one was the one that God spoke to me and told me, "now be baptized in water." So, yes, I was already His, and I obeyed His voice. The first three didn't count in God's eyes. The Spirit IS the One who acts in behalf of repentant...

Christians and Jews are both anti Acts 2:38.

I would say, both are necessary. First baptism by Holy Spirit to receive a powerful new nature that makes us empowered over sin. And by our new conscience, then baptism by water is done from that good conscience. You don't bury a live person, only a dead person.

Christians and Jews are both anti Acts 2:38.

What I mean by Acts 2:38 is its purpose of receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit, without which keeping the law is by works and not from a new nature.

    Good Friday?

That is why many make a doctrine of demons out of 1 John 1:8 because they are seeing it with a western mindset when the style of the whole chapter is EASTERN. From 5-10 each verse is in contrast to the one before. That is why 10 and 8 are similar but apart by one verse that applies to both, and...

    Good Friday?

John 9:10-11 10 Therefore they said to him, “How were your eyes opened?” 11 He answered and said, “A Man called Jesus made clay and anointed my eyes and said to me, ‘Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.’ So I went and washed, and I received sight.” I think you have a typo.
