Labor To Enter Into What Rest?

What is also interesting is that many scholars, myself included LOL, believe that Hebrews was written by Barnabas. Both Hebrews and the EoB delve into the meanings behind the Old Testament, and how it relates to the New. And neither letter is signed, whereas Paul signed all of his letters. I...

Labor To Enter Into What Rest?

The promised land was suppose to be a land of milk and honey. In other words an abundant life. John 10:10. But it didn't turn out that way for the children of Israel. They rebelled against God. Jeremiah 5:3 O Lord, do not Your eyes look for truth? You have smitten them, But they did not weaken...

Labor To Enter Into What Rest?

Paul answers this question in the same chapter. He doesn't leave us guessing. It is the throne of Grace, vs. 16, with Jesus as our High Priest, and that is now. Granted there are few that find it, thus the diligence/labor. How we enter that rest is first and foremost through repentance of all...

    Seventh Day Adventist Beliefs

I have. Have you? I see the timing of the "rapture" to be at the second coming. What verses in particular say it is otherwise?

It would be wonderful if it were true, but the proof is just not there.

    Seventh Day Adventist Beliefs

Yes, that is what I thought you meant. I do not see a basis for that anywhere in scripture.

How long before the second coming do you see the rapture?

I'm sure they did. How else would they get them out of there if they died?

    Seventh Day Adventist Beliefs

Who is coming back with Jesus in the second coming. Paul says only the dead in Christ will come back with him, the alive and remain (on earth) will meet them in the air. If there was a secret resurrection and rapture, wouldn't they all return?

    Seventh Day Adventist Beliefs

You agree don't you that that verse is about the second coming and not about a secret rapture? Matthew 25:31 [ The Son of Man Will Judge the Nations ] “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.

    Seventh Day Adventist Beliefs

Thou I don't believe in soul sleep, I don't see a secret rapture seven or 3 1/2 years prior to the second coming as an authoritative doctrine of Christianity, but rather a more recent doctrine of only part of the Church.

    Thoughts on Charles Finney

Yes, to me it has always seemed they agree on false doctrines. That is why I wondered how they differ. I guess it is because they both come from the church age of the Reformation - Sardis - the dead church.

    Thoughts on Charles Finney

I just wondered because I haven't seen much difference.

    Thoughts on Charles Finney

I've just got a question. What is the difference in doctrine between a Lutheran and a Calvinist?

Poll - Tattooing: from male military and biker ethos...to viable witness means for both genders?

It is completely different. Tattooing is art, whereas cutting is not for scaring in a pattern, but for stress and pain relief.

MATTHEW 10:6 GO TO THE LOST SHEEP ***

I'm not sure what the problem is. In the Old Testament the children of Israel were God's chosen people. This is why they could only eat clean meat which before they existed was only used for sacrifices to God and represented the children of Israel's separation from the rest of the nations...

Who is the Amen in the book of revelation, not revelations

Amen means "so be it." He is also saying He is a true witness, and the chief of all God's creation. `And to the messenger of the assembly of the Laodiceans write: These things saith the Amen, the witness -- the faithful and true -- the chief of the creation of God; The Amen is a confirmation.
