For those who think Christ is not God.

Truth I am going to ask you a serious question, and would appreciate a serious answer. As you know Jesus promoted another God, but lets say you are right. We know satan is a liar, and a deceiver, if Jesus is God, then he is obviously the same, he deceived us into thinking there is a God who...

For those who think Christ is not God.

Basically you said it yourself in your other post when you posted the scriptures identifying the Christ himself. Fact is Joe God does not have a God nor was He anointed, He does the anointing. Thomas knew who God was, he was an apostle of Jesus and followed the same God as Jesus. The Bible does...

For those who think Christ is not God.

None of us do Joe, heck, I wish I could remember a quarter of the knowledge I take in, sadly we all are far from perfect. You know the Bible points out that we may live an eternity, but will never know what God knows Ecc 3:11. But although scientists may b correct that we use just a minuscule...

Thank you Joe, you really helped me with this post, have made note of those in my Bible.

    YHWH, Elohim, and Theos

Great question Byrd. YHWH God's name in Hebrew. It is translated Jehovah in English Elohim is a Hebrew word that is translated God. El is God, but when combined with ohim it is plural, denoting Majesty. That title always applies to Jehovah, whereas El can apply to other gods. Theos is Greek...

Which translation do you think is the best English translation?

You are absolutely correct Bread, you didn't. But you named some Scriptures from your version that you accept. I asked you why then did you not accept the rendering of God's name from that same version, so do you care to answer it now?

    Who Really, Are the Jews?

Yes sir, now are you able to distinguish them today, who are the Israelites, and who are the Gentiles?

Unto Good Works is With Works Now, Not Later

Yes that is the starting point, but just that, what is our assignment when we move toward maturity in the faith? No sir, we do not have to sacrifice our children as was told to Abraham. Most likely you are aware why God asked that of him, but if not, I would certainly be glad to explain that...

    "This Generation" declared by Jesus.

From the time of the acceptance of the first covenant Scott, Jehovah does not deal with individuals. I am not able to discern if you believe we are living in the last days of this system, but if you believe we are, then you likely believe Isa 2:2,3 is being fulfilled now. Jehovah's mountain does...

What do my posts reveal sir?

See the distinction Joe? 1 Pet 3:15

For those who think Christ is not God.

Confession? Thomas made a statement, and I fully agree with it. Jesus was in fact resurrected and met with his apostles, and at least 500 individuals witnessed that fact. And as I indicated since Thomas knew who God is, he was not saying Jesus was his God.

For those who think Christ is not God.

Since Jesus is not God, and Thomas was an apostle who knew who God is, then obviously your understanding of what is being said is in error Truth. Some versions add and exclamation point, the KJV does not. It is not necessarily right or wrong, it was the translators prerogative as to how it is...

    Is drinking sin?

The posters question is drinking sin, of which I am keeping in context Gen. There may be all kinds of drinks mentioned in scripture including grape juice, I really do not know. However as you have seen from some passages, wine is a beverage that at the very least at times contains alcohol...

    James the Apostle of Doubt

Like you, when I read the title of your post, Thomas came to mind, not James. But I see how you applied it sir, and understand. James, Jesus' brother perhaps at one time had doubts, as he was not recorded as serving God until after Jesus' death, however he certainly became a disciple so...

Unto Good Works is With Works Now, Not Later

Good post Rob, and I understand and agree with it, but it is rather complicated, can you simplify what our works are to be, I have a particular passage in mind that is point blank sir.

    A new song?

Small g or not, as you see the Bible calls him a god sir. The Bible states quite openly that there are many gods at 1 Cor 8:5, however although they are real to some, and have followers they truly are not real, however I am sure you realize that satan is not only real, but a very powerful god...

    "This Generation" declared by Jesus.

I don't see the need Scott, I believe it is a topic we will not agree on. I frankly do not understand how you can believe it, but only time alone will reveal the truth of the matter. I might ask what faith you belong to so I can research their beliefs on the tribulation as I have never heard of...

    Is drinking sin?

Although I don't disagree with you on the benefits of grape juice Gen, that was not what was meant by the verse. The Bible does not caution against becoming dependent upon grape juice in all honesty: (Proverbs 23:30-35) . . .Those lingering long over wine; Those searching out mixed wine. 31 Do...

For those who think Christ is not God.

I believe you answered what the word Messiah is correct? Since I believe you know, then who was it that made Jesus the Messiah? Is God anointed, or does He do the anointing?
