Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@Mantis I guess Mrs. Mantis was more of a late starter; i.e., knew her own mind more, before going under the machine...

Is it okay for a Christian to wear a st christoper pendant

@devin553344 It is sometimes commented by Protestants that the symbol of the cross without the figure is so significant that it is empty now: "It is finished"; "He is risen". Sometimes people prefer the Christian fish sign <>< - e.g., on a wrist, etc. - instead, as a tattoo.

Is it okay for a Christian to wear a st christoper pendant

@devin553344 PS: Good to be sure about the origin of one's plans and wishes....

    Once Saved, Always Saved?

I do think eternal security is clear from Romans 8.38-39, Philippians 1.6, etc.

Is it okay for a Christian to wear a st christoper pendant

@devin553344 Well, shoulder is a sought after placement (I guess it was in view because presumably it means you already had your military related tattoo on the other shoulder...). Pendants and tattoos are distinct, of course, but in a sense the idea is similar.

God's OPERATION On All HIS New-born babes In CHRIST!

Hi @Ian74 Good to keep at reading God's Word diligently. Even if we don't understand everything at once, there is the influence of the 'washing of water by the word' (Ephesians 5.26).

Is it okay for a Christian to wear a st christoper pendant

@Michiah-Imla I reckon the doctrinal aspect is the most important. I think the tattoo analogy may be signidicant: a tattoo signifying military service or referring to John 3.16 is vastly different from one of the virgin Mary, with all that this implies....

Is it okay for a Christian to wear a st christoper pendant

@devin553344 So one enough for you for the time being, then, right?

    Quitting tobacco

@Goldie75 So did you also have the successive experience of quitting?

@Goldie75 Good to be back; been out of town lately....

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@Mantis Do you think it's best to wait until (at least) 18? 16 is kind of young, right?
  12. F

    Confused...

@Mantis The Parable of the Sower, right? Essential to be good ground where the seed germinates and takes root....

@Marc94 PS: Important not to neglect Scripture........

What if everyone on this board…

@Heart2Soul Good to see lots of helpful Bible quotes also....

    Having Difficulties Continually

@Heart2Soul Indeed, I agree..... The letters in Revelation are rather like the Apostle saying, If it all seems to go wrong, it's nothing new: what you must avoid is what others have faced the challenge to avoid also..... (Example of the sufficiency of Scripture...)

    Mary is all powerful!

@Cassandra Yes, solemn warnings there, right?

Is it okay for a Christian to wear a st christoper pendant

@Cassandra I find the tattoo analogy quite interesting and even compelling: a tattoo signifying military service or referring to John 3.16 is vastly different from one of the virgin Mary, with all that this implies....

    Hi I’m new

Good to see you @Marc94 . It's great to have a regular Bible reading and prayer life. John's Gospel is a wonderful book of the Bible to get to know.
