Street Preacher cries out: The soul who continues to sin will die

I agree. a "soul" is the person, the "I", the ego, the self. A "soul" is any living creature. It exists as a consequence of the union of the body and the breath of life. I think Genesis 2:7 is sufficient to keep us on track. It plainly says a soul is the result of the union of the body and the...

You do understand that "week" is an acceptable translation. At best, you can say that it may be "seven" but I can also say it may be "week" - and the fact that scholarly, God-fearing men thought to translate it "week" instead of "seven" speaks volumes about this issue.

It's translated "week" 19 times in the KJV, but here it's 7?

So, you're saying that when the Lord comes as a thief in the night to rapture the saints, the heavens will not pass away with a great noise and the elements will not melt with fervent heat, and the earth and the works therein shall not burn up?

OK, thanks for clearing that up

You admit the 70 Weeks are not 490 days, but symbolic for 490 years, but the 1,260 and the 3 1/2 is literal time? That's totally inconsistent.

Enoch111, do you accept Peter's words in 2 Peter 3 that when the Lord comes as a thief in the night - which is when the saints are raptured - it is in that day when that cosmic conflagration happens?

3 1/2 symbolic years, which is 1,200 symbolic days...if you interpret the symbolism using Numbers 14:34 and Ezekiel 4:6, it is 1,260 literal years.

OK, I can live with that, but if you ever want to know why the Protestant Reformation taught Historicism for centuries - and taught it until just about 150 years ago - I'm happy to guide you through it.

Yes, the rapture is after the tribulation

It is apparent that you are not very familiar with Protestant Historicism. You are preaching Jesuit Futurism, an idea that didn't exist until after the Protestant Reformation kicked off in the early 16th century. Protestant Historicism exposed the papacy as the Little Horn of Daniel, the Man of...

Copperhead asked me the same thing. A commentary on society's love affair with overseas conflict, which seems to be waning since it's about bankrupted our economy and the only thing we get to show for it is increased military spending and body bags.

Actually, Historicism is not a doctrine of men, it's Bible doctrine. For example, Daniel 7:17 and 23 says a "beast" is a kingdom. Historicism is the most consistent interpretation with regard to prophetic symbolism. The Hugeunots against which the papacy sent such a slaughter that they only had...

    A FORM OF FREEDOM

I heard a preacher on the radio talk about a book titled "I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings". I never read it, but I think I might like to. Or at least get the Cliff's Notes.

    42. Are We Free to Ignore God's Law if We are "Under Grace"?

Hi BG! Romans 6:14-16 answers that succinctly, but if anyone is still in doubt, we should probalby err on the side of caution...which come to think of it woulda saved me a TON of trouble in my younger days. LOL

The Unclothed State (2 Cor. 5:4)

Interesting, though I'm satisfied with just two resurrections. I think a "better" resurrection refers to more jewels in our crown.
