    That I may win Christ

You are zerooing in on a future event when they who are in Christ shall receive a new body...just as His. And this is a concern of mine...that when people read of entering into the promises these assume that means only AFTER we die physically. But that is not my concern at all. The high...

    That I may win Christ

Philippians 3:14 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Paul ran the race unto the high calling of Christ. Today this has been eliminated as a kind of low calling...so that everyone can be made to feel saved WITHOUT entering into the kingdom life...

    That I may win Christ

Philippians 1:27 27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; There are 2 levels of obedience...

    That I may win Christ

Phil. 3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, For Paul, the Christian faith was an ongoing race towards inward conformity...

The Gospel was changed by God:

Luther changed the gospel. He made it possible for carnal men to feel saved...by believing they are saved for believing that Jesus will save them. So then ignoring everything Jesus said in order to put one's faith in Luther is seen as being a follower of Christ.

Spirituality and the Three Finger Rule

I don't think it wise to associate oneself with any particular movement in church history...or be followers of men...reformers included. A follower of Jesus is a follower of Jesus...nothing added to that.

    It matters not.

But this is a downgrading of the potential that is in Christ. There were many righteous in the OT. And Jesus didn't come to call the righteous to repentance but into Himself in order to be holy as God is holy...without spot or wrinkle of anything besides holiness. So then the wicked are called...

Married Women (Sometimes Pastor's Wives) Flirt With Me In Church

it's certainly not easy being hunky...i can imagine. :)

    The Hope Of The World

The shallow way of a human belief puts Jesus in our lives as a "wishful thinking" operation that seeks to include Jesus in our own carnal lives. But this is both a fiction and backwards. We are to enter into Christ's life to live in a miraculous power....the same power that Jesus walked in...

The Gospel was changed by God:

This is an unfortunate choice of words in the English translation. The Greek makes no inference to it being the gospel OF one or the other. It could be implied but it is not definitive, So again the vagueness of the bible leads people to jump the gun and interpret it with the carnal mind. There...

Interpretation of the Bible through the Demonstration of God

Amen! We are to strive together for the faith of the gospel. The faith OF Christ...not our version of human beliefs about Christ. God reveals His ways to us through unique expressions of His grace on individuals...but WE need to put things together to see and understand His ways.

1 TIMOTHY 1:16 PAUL IS OUR PATTERN FOR SALVATION

There is no pattern on how to be saved. Is there a pattern on how ro find a wife or husband. Why reduce God to a set of static ideas? Every person is unique. Paul show absolutely NO pattern...because it was God's mercy acting in a very particular way with paul and with all of us. Did you also...

    Fundamentalism

One would think that the command of God would be to adhere to a set of fundamentalist principles to be grasped with the mind to be used as a measuring stick on who is in and who is out of favour with God (actually men). But grasping at intellectual concepts for religious adherence is not the...

    Effectiveness of the 'sinners' prayer'.

To me this whole idea of declaring someone saved..or worse...declaring oneself saved... is deceptive. If we change the course of our lives then we are embarking on a new path...a new way. Surely this is the way of salvation IF we remain on it for the rest of our lives.

Mark 10:12 When was it possible for a wife to divorce her husband?

A woman is married to her husband as long as he lives. This principle is used by Paul to show that we are "married" to the old man until we are crucified away from our previous life....the life of self. Then we are free to marry another...who is Christ the Lord.

    Well said...the narrow way! :)

Interpretation of the Bible through the Demonstration of God

And it's the people who have not suffered in their own sins that tend to be so easy on judging others. These people AVOID suffering by stepping on other people.

Interpretation of the Bible through the Demonstration of God

Amen! And you know the people that rail so much against the "foolish" Galatians are usually Galatians themselves...just like they who condemn the rich young ruler would never consider forsaking all to follow Christ either. I think people would rather condemn the same traits they have but in...

Interpretation of the Bible through the Demonstration of God

Man likes to try figuring things out for himself. The carnal man takes great pride in his ability to use his mind. Such is the futility of man's ways. As in the popular sayings....the last thing a man will do is look at the instructions or ask for directions. But God short-circuits man's usual...

    ROMANS 4:6 IMPUTED RIGHTEOUSNESS

I'm afraid it is impossible for me to write to you...until you learn to read properly. As an English lesson for you...see if you can understand this... The policeman imputed the crime to the criminal....but the policeman never imputes his own crime unto a criminal. Likewise God imputes...
