What Things Would you Like to See, Functioning In Church

Acts 2.42 is a good guide for desirable local church activities...

    Spurgeon quote...

I'd be hard pressed to find something to disagree with. Yes, he was a very gifted expositor, and what he said is really memorable...

    Spurgeon quote...

@Angelina Well, I guess then that you could in theory have a short Spurgeon quote done more 'authentically' than could others who don't have the same ancestry, I suppose.....
  6. F

    Spurgeon quote...

@Angelina His ministry has blessed so many ppl; he had what was very evidently a real heart for the Scriptures and for his hearers and readers....

    Spurgeon quote...

@Angelina Well, I guess it would depend on whether you have any Maori ancestry yourself, I suppose, as to whether a Spurgeon quote in that style would be doable? IDK....

    Spurgeon quote...

Sounds good, Rita; his books continue to be in print, and no wonder. We were also talking a bit about how te moko is getting popular, as per Angelina in NZ.

    Spurgeon quote...

A shame you lost them, Rita..... His quotes are so encouraging, aren't they?

    Spurgeon quote...

@Angelina Interesting; all the young ppl with whom I have spoken with Bible verses/refs. tattooed seem to have had them done for witness tool reasons, because they easily become talking points. I suppose in theory also a Bible ref. could be gotten in the style of a ta moko: like with a cursive...

    @Angelina You mean, like a Maori-style inking?

    Spurgeon quote...

@Angelina I saw an article about a Christian young lady who liked Spurgeon so much that she included a Spurgeon quote among her tattoos. (I guess you're not into that sort of thing now, though.)

    Spurgeon quote...

@Angelina Sounds like you've spent quite some time collecting all those really good quotes and graphics... :)

    Spurgeon quote...

Hi @Angelina; seems like you've found a really good resource for Spurgeon quotes... :)

    Who is This?

@Ronald Nolette In Acts 2.41, it was those who gladly received his word that were baptized. They were not baptized in order to try to become believers. They were baptized because they were believers already... :)

    One and Triune God.

@Johann Spurgeon's preaching was more in the spirit of Jeremiah 20.9: "But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay."

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@Ronald Nolette Tattooing can be such a resource with a lot of potential, anyway. The fact that it's such a socially confident thing to do is why so many conservative ppl use it now: juliannenw said: allnurses dot com As GodsGrace said: ↑ So it's no wonder a lot of young Christians get...

How do we know we're ready for Jesus' coming?

@Ronald Nolette Good to remember that in the Lord's Supper His coming is in view: 'till He come' (1 Corinthians 11.26). :)

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@BarnyFife Well, it's a pity she evidently does not share your spiritual interests now... Some ppl - not a few young ppl - now use Bible verse tattoos to encourage an interest in spiritual things, of course... (All the young ppl with Bible verses tattooed that I have talked with seem to have...
