Well, we are not Jesus (as much as some people love to claim they operate just like Him). And that fact is the reason we have to depend upon Him... because there are many places that, try as we may, we fall short. In fact, we often fall flat on our faces.

And, therein lies the rub. I honestly have to say that not once have I ever seen that happen on a forum. Any forum.

I kind of figure He is a LITTLE pleased if our trend is toward blowing it less and less as time goes by.

I think with most of us, He may SAY that, but is really THINKING.... "Well, go try again.. till the next time."

I wonder if any of our collective eyes were clear before we started typing? I know mine weren't.

I really do believe we need to accept the truth that we are often very critical of others.... And having done so, just concentrate on delivering our criticisms in as loving a manner as we can manage to find within us.

But, don't you see? Even there, you are imposing YOUR own beliefs on what YOU THINK he should do with the money he makes.

I think about the closest we can come is to quote another's words, and ask them if THEY want to say that. And, even then, we are criticizing them by implying we don't approve of their thinking or speech. Maybe some people think they are totally objective in this, but I know I sure am not.

………. and yet, you even did that very same thing from your first post here in this thread. See, we really can't criticize others without actually criticizing them.

Frankly, the only way we can NOT do this, is to never say a word except shallow, often insincere words that mimic encouragement.

JiF, I just noticed, my Signature is exactly the same font size your Signature is.

I really wasn't fair in saying that. There are a lot of good people over there, but about a half dozen of some seriously warped individuals taint the whole forum with their prejudices and biases.

We do this labeling to other 'denominations' consistently. Even though another person or group may believe we all come to Salvation (understand the Gospel) just the very same way we do...….. IF they dare to believe in healing or tongues or prosperity, or any of dozens of other things they feel...

Basically, I see the assumption on the part of many that, "My teachers said a "True Christian" believes certain things, certain ways. And if I do not also believe as everyone else around me believes (this is called 'orthodoxy'), then I must not be a "True Christian." Or at least, they will not...

Personally, I just tap a key if any text might be too small. The main reason I post in #5 font is so that I can easily spot the posts I have made. And the reason my Signature is smaller is because I want it to be quickly distinguished from the rest of my post. Many people post in the same text...

At least you aren't making the mistake I made. I went over to "Worthy Christian" Forum.. What a sick, slithering pit of vipers.

I used to have the same "works" attitude way back when I was in the CoC.
